- WWE recently released the buyrate for this month’s Judgment Day PPV by the SmackDown brand, headlined by Eddie Guerrero defending his WWE Title against John Bradshaw Layfield. The PPV did 200,000 buys which is the lowest number that the company has drawn since February 2001.
Last year’s Judgment Day buyrate was 300,000 and the 2002 number was 375,000. This goes to show the continuing struggle for the SmackDown brand to get back on top. However, as most know, sources within WWE have labeled this a transitional period.
