- For those of you wondering when the Big Show would be making his return to action after undergoing knee surgery, the answer has arrived. Big Show will wrestle his first match back on the July 16th Smackdown-Brand house show at the Budokan Hall in Tokyo against Rey Mysterio. Show will go on to face the Undertaker in a No-DQ match on the July 17th show the following day.
- Speaking of the house shows at the Budokan Hall, Tough Enough 3 winner Matt Cappotelli will be joining the Smackdown-Brand superstars when they head over to Tokyo in mid-July. Cappotelli will be facing Chavo Guerrero on both the 7/16 and 7/17 shows and it is expected that he will be the next challenger for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship upon his debut.
- Here are some more interesting notes from the Budokan Hall Smackdown shows:
-On the July 16th show, "Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero will defend the WWE Championship against Rob Van Dam. This is the first title shot that Van Dam has recieved since jumping to the Smackdown brand. This will also be the first time Eddie & RVD will clash since their feud over the Intercontinental Championship back in 2002.
-On the July 16th show, Rico & Charlie Haas will defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz. This is the first chance for Bubba & D-Von to win the titles since turning heel several weeks ago.
