  • Sunday Night Heat opened in

    RHYNO VS. STEVEN RICHARDS

Rhyno made his entrance as Al Snow and The Coach talked about The Coach getting made fun of by The Rock and Eugene. Richards entered and the crowd cheered for a bit until Rhyno got Richards in an armbar. Richards slapped Rhyno, but Rhyno hit a clothesline. Rhyno went to gore Steven but Richards rolled out of the ring. Thinking it was safe Steven went back in but got hit with a shoulder block. They both got to the outside of the ring and Richards gave Rhyno a drop toe hold into the stairs. Rhyno was in pain outside the ring and barely got back to the ring after a nine count. As he entered the ring Richards hit a series of punches and kicks and then hit a neckbreaker. He tried to pin but only got a two count. Rhyno tried a punch, kick and a suplex ultimately resulting in a pin but a kickout by Steven Richards. Steven Richards got Rhyno in a headlock and the crowd quickly got behind Rhyno. Rhyno escaped and hit a belly to belly suplex and went for a pin, but again only a two count. Richards recovered and tried the Stevie-T but Rhyno reversed it and got a spinebuster in. The crowd called for a gore, and Rhyno delivered. He pinned Steven for the three count and the victory. The crowd cheered as Rhyno relaxed in the ropes.

    WINNER: RHYNO

Shows preview for Garrison Cade versus The Hurricane and the recap with The Rock.

RAW RECAP - THE ROCK AND EUGENE HUMILATE THE COACH

In this segment they recap the Raw segment involving The Rock, Eugene and Coach. They show how The Coach humiliates Eugene about him only being here because of his uncle, and sending Eugene back to the ramp only to see The Rock to come out and guide Eugene back to the ring to poke fun at Jonathan Coachman. Look forward to many "Popcorn Fart" chants for Coach in the future.

Again it shows a preview for Cade and Hurricane and announces that La Resistance' will be in action.

Coming back it reviews Matt Hardy getting demolished and Lita saying yes to Kane.

LA RESISTANCE' VS. AARON AGUILERA AND CHAD WICKS

La Resistance' enters with their flags as their unknown opponents stand in the ring. Snow continues to call the tag team who no one knows "Bobby and Josh Bobbagannoch". Sylvan Grenier gets Chad Wicks in a armbar and then a headlock, he bounces him into the ropes and hits a shoulder block. Wicks gets up and gets Grenier into a headlock of his own, and throws his to the ropes only to see Sylvan get two leapfrogs. Chad hits a scoop slam and the Rob Conway interferes. Conway enters by illegal tag and gets Wicks with an elbow block. He illegally knocks Aaron to the outside, and then Conway and Sylvan double team Wicks. Grenier enters and gives Chad a choke into the second rope, and hits a few forearms and then again a knee-back choke to Chad. Chad Wicks tries for tag but Grenier hits a backdrop. Conway enters with kicks and a headlock to Wicks, only to see Chad push him away and backdrop him. Aaron and Sylvan get the tags and enter, as aaron hits a dropkick, shoulder block and an atomin drop to Conway. Northern lights suplex from Aguilera to Conway resulting in a pin but only a two count due to Grenier interfering. Grenier illegally knocks Wicks to the floor and uses a finisher to Aaron Aguliera for the pin and the win.

    WINNER: LA RESISTANCE

Before going to commercial they show a clip of the twenty man battle royal.

They come back and review the twenty man battle royal which Kane won. They point out that in actuallity it was an eighteen man battle due to Matt Hardy and Chriatian being injured. In the middle of it they go to commercial. They return with Randy Orton, Triple H, Shelton Benjamin and Kane still remaining. They also show a preview of Chris Benoit versus Kane at Bad Blood.

They again return to see the Hurricane enter.

    THE HURRICANE VS. GARRISON CADE

The Hurrcane entered and got a big pop, with the complete opposite from Cade. They tie up and Hurricane gets Cade with a school boy for a one count. The Hurricane tried to shoulder block Cade but cannot, and eventually pokes Garrison in the eyes. Hurricane gets Cade with an armbar, and eventuallyt Garrison gets up and throws Hurricane outside the ring. Hurricane gets back in and hits a series of arm drags, but Cade reverses one and throws Hurricane outside the ring again. Garrison brings him back in and goes for a backdrop and a pin, only to get a two count. Garrison Cade got The Hurricane into an abdominal stretch, but eventually The Hurricane breaks out and armdrags Cade. Garrison gets back up and gives The Hurricane a knee lift. The Hurricane gets up after a bit as Cade taunts the crowd, and goes to the top rope. He goes for a closed fist flying neckbreaker. Cade arises and Hurricane hits a clothesline and a flying DDT. Hurricane again goes to top, but gets knocked down and a huge clothesline from Cade. As Hurricane lays in pain, Garrison Cade goes to the top and connects with a flying elbow to Hurricane for the win.

    WINNER: GARRISON CADE

    MY THOUGHTS:

When you watch Heat, you really should expect more than most people do. Although the matches are fairly predicatble, they are fun and not bad quality. Tonights was decent, and I especially enjoyed the match with La Resistance' and the unknowns. The two unknown wrestlers put up a good fight, and all together I believe it was the best match on Heat. Well, until next week, talk to you later.
