  • Ben Johnson announced here earlier that WWE is once again negotiating with Jeff Hardy. Apparently the company wanted to bring him back in the cruiserweight match at WrestleMania XX, but the deal was not made in time because of stubbornness from Hardy. Apparently the talks between the two parties have been going on for at least a couple of months.

  • Jim Ross was very critical on Byte This today about how the internet media has covered the WWE/Steve Austin story. Ross confirmed that the sole reason that Austin was not on WWE television and left the company is because of contractual negotiations and nothing else. He said there was no bitterness between the two sides and that the domestic dispute incident had nothing to do with it.

  • John Bradshaw Layfield defeated “El Gran Luchador” on tonight’s edition of SmackDown!, who was said to be a Mexican champion that had “punked him out” earlier in the day at the airport. The identity of “El Gran Luchador” has been revealed as non other than Paul London.
