Major backstage news from tonight’s SmackDown! taping (Spoiler Alert)

• It has been confirmed that Paul Heyman is indeed backstage at tonight’s SmackDown taping. However, it is unknown in what capacity. If he is back for an on-air role his character is unknown as the angle had to have been written into the show over the weekend. Therefore, several in WWE are calling it an abrupt move. To kill any possible rumors, Heyman is not there to return as a writer for the brand.
  
  Triple H and Shane McMahon are also backstage at tonight’s SmackDown taping to visit with friends since they were in town for Raw last night and Sunday’s Backlash PPV.
