Two of the Grand Rapids radio stations that gave away Smackdown tickets to contest winners during the last few weeks have been repeatedly apologizing for the "lameness" of the show on Tuesday. Evidently, many listeners had called to voice their displeasure in the lack of big name talent on the show. I was in attendance, and I can tell you that once the show ended, there was a spattering of boos but mostly this feeling of bewilderment as if to say "That's it?"
Indeed, the lack of HHH, Undertaker, Big Show, Cena not wrestling, and no surprise appearances by any top flight Raw guys like Austin or SOMEBODY that could make the fans happy pissed off enough people to the point where even the radio stations are saying they're sorry. This CAN'T be a good sign for the WWE on their new Smackdown decisions as the show is truly lacking star power right now... When John "Bradshaw" (don't call me J.R. Ewing) Layfield makes a run in during the MAIN EVENT and NOBODY cares enough to even boo, there are serious problems....
Just thought I'd share.
