what keeps us going week after week. Now, on with the most complete TNA
    recap on the net…

    The Full Monty
Tonight’s PPV starts off with AJ Styles educating us on the horrors of cable
theft. Buy the PPV guys. We can’t take food out of starving indy wrestler’s
    children.

After the warning we are shown the highlights from last week starting off
with clips of Russo and Jeff Jarrett. It looks like they have temporarily
done away with the music montage at the beginning of the show. There wasn’t
one this week at all. Tenay informs us that Jarrett is not in the lineup
this evening and isn’t scheduled to appear by order of Russo.

Match #1- Kevin Northcutt vs. Chris Harris
It starts off with an immediate lockup and a headlock by Northcutt. He goes
running off the ropes for a shoulder block and knocks Harris down. Back up
and Harris locks Northcutt into an armbar. A few reversals and then
Northcutt elbows out followed by another shoulder block by Northcutt. They
both walk it off for a few seconds. Harris throws Northcutt into the
turnbuckle, punches to the head and a chop. A flying clothesline by Harris
    for a two count.

Northcutt takes control with a Lou Thesz press and a few more punches to the
head. Harris is thrown out of the ring. Tenay announces that he just
received word from the back that Harris will not only open the show this
evening but will close it to. He will wrestle again this evening but at this
time we do not know who the opponent will be. Back to the match and we see
some nice hard chops to Harris. Northcutt goes for a chair but Harris fights
back and slams Northcutt’s head into the chair. Somehow his neck ends up in
the middle opening of the chair and Harris pushes him into the outside post.

Back in the ring Harris goes for a pin and only gets a two count. Harris
whips Northcutt into the corner and charges him. Northcutt sees him comes
and dodges out of the way so Harris ends up jamming his shoulder into the
ring post. Harris goes down. Northcutt comes over and gives him a boot to
the trachea. Harris fights out and throws Northcutt into the corner. Two
count by Harris and then a sleeperhold by Northcutt. He’s got it locked in
tight. Storm is cheering him on at ringside as well as the crowd. Back elbow
into the ropes followed by a high vertical suplex by Harris.

Both men are down and they are slow to get up. Harris has been selling that
shoulder he jammed earlier in the match. Inverted atomic drop and then a
high cross body block by Harris for another two count. Northcutt answers
back with a Russian legsweep for two. Northcutt gets Harris into a pump
handle but he gets out. He goes for a spear on Northcutt and then attempts a
catatonic but is denied. Northcutt does his “Live from 5-0-4” and gets a two
count. Northcutt goes to the middle rope for an elbow drop but Harris moves
out of the way. He scoops Northcutt up like a baby and does the ol’
catatonic for the one, two, three. Winner: Harris at 9:04

It looks like Chris continued to eat his wheaties
this past week. He’s off to a good start already but I hope he saved some
energy for later. Lord knows who else Russo has lined up for him at the end
    of the night.

We go to the back with Scott Hudson who is speaking with Trinity. She tells
us she isn’t with Jeff Jarrett. She’s her own woman. Apparently she feels
she is close with Russo and thinks it is her time to get what she wants.

Siaki cuts in on the mic and tells us that Russo was the one who advised him
not to sign the loyalty oath with Jarrett. Diamond tells us that he feels
the same fire with his current group (3LK, D’Lo & Siaki) that he did when he
was with Swinger all that time. D’Lo tells us how for seven years in the WWE
all he ever got was a hard time. Now that he is at TNA it is time for a
change. The Truth wants to know why he is always told how great he is yet
always held back. Now Konnan chimes in to tell us that “politics always play
a part of it but you always got to keep pushing anyway. Russo recognizes
talent.” Back again to Diamond who tells Swinger that he stood by his side
on his wedding day and he will be there at his funeral too.

Match #2- 10 Man Tag Team consisting of Michael Shane w/ Traci, Kid Kash,
Glenn Gilberti, Johnny Swinger & David Young vs. Sonny Siaki, D’Lo Brown,
Simon Diamond, Ron “The Truth” Killings & Konnan w/ BG James

D’Lo and Young start of the match. The crowd is already chanting for D’Lo.
Young goes for a headlock on D’Lo and then attempts a shoulder block but is
denies. Enzugiri by D’Lo and then tags are made to Shane and Konnan. Konnan
gives a hard shoulder to Shane and Shane counters with an eye rake. He goes
to the ropes but Konnan shakes the ropes for a crotch shot on Shane.

Young runs in and the Truth & Konnan “Do the Damn Thing” to him. Siaki and
Kash are tagged in. Siaki gets Kash in a belly to back suplex and drops him
on his neck for a two count. The Truth powerslams Kash and Kash is down.
Killings throws Kash into the ropes and Kash goes up for a double
springboard moonsault. He gets a two count. Swinger is tagged in and
Killings hits him with a leg lariat. Now Diamond is tagged in but Swinger
tags back out. He is doing his best to avoid being in the ring with his
ex-partner. Gilberti comes in from Swinger’s tag and we get a couple deep
arm drags in a row. They lock up in the corner and exchange a few punches.
Gilberti scissor stomps him and Diamond looks to be in a lot of pain.

Shane is now tagged in by Gilberti. He goes up for the elbow off the top
rope but Diamond gets the knee up to counter. Killings is back in again and
Gilberti runs in. Killings gets Young and Swinger with a double drop kick.
Kash goes for a double sledge off the top to break Killing’s pin. He only
gets a two. Gilberti hits Killings with a drop toehold and Kash gets a two
count. Shane is tagged in and does a snap suplex for a two. Now Swinger is
tagged in. Killings kicks to the mid section of Swinger followed by an axe
kick. He tags Diamond in and Swinger rushes to tag in Young. Simon Series on
Young for a pin broken by Shane. Young nails Diamond with his world famous
spinebuster and Siaki runs in for a Siaki-lipse to young. At this point
everyone is in the ring and it is hard to even tell what is going on. It
looks as if everyone is trying to get in their finishers before the end of
    the match. Mayhem ensues…

Konnan nails Kash with a sitting Razor’s edge and everyone is down but
Diamond and Swinger. Swinger has tried his best to avoid this the whole
match. Here comes Young with a superkick to Diamond. Killings rolls up Young
for the pin. Winner: Killings pins Young at 10:10

I actually expected this to be a harder match to
follow. I was surprised that it stayed as orderly as it did for long. Good
match. I was impressed because usually when there are these many guys in the
ring it just ends up being one big you know what…

After the match Tracy attacks BG with her cast because of a comment he made
about her being off her leash. Apparently there are rules against letting
pets run free down at the Asylum. In the ring the madness begins again and
everyone is battling it out. Diamond is attacks again as Young and Gilberti
set up a chair. Before they get a chance to use it though, ICP comes in to
    save the day.

We now go to a video package featuring Frankie “The Future” Kazarian. He’s
cutting a promo on Lynn complaining about how Lynn didn’t want him involved
with the X-Cup competitions. He tells us that he is back to prove that he
belongs there not only on TNA but Team TNA as well. He plans to prove this
tonight by beating their Captain, Lynn.

Match #3- Frankie Kazarian vs. Jerry Lynn
They go right into a few shoulder to back reversals. Kazarian whips himself
off the ropes for a shoulder block to Lynn. Lynn counters with a headlock
and a few kicks to the chest. Lynn hits him with the hurricarana. Locked up
again but this time it’s Kazarian kicking Lynn in the mid section. Baseball
slide through Kazarian’s legs. He hits Lynn but Lynn nails him with a
    guillotine leg drop.

Both men are now outside the ring and they begin to brawl. Kazarian goes
flying into the rails but stops himself. He grabs Lynn’s head and slams it
into the rails. Lynn is down and Kazarian just picks him up to throw Lynn
bad shoulder first into the outside post.

Back in the ring again and Kazarian is really working on Lynn’s separated
left shoulder. DDT on Lynn for a two count. Kazarian whips Lynn into the
corner shoulder first. Hammerlock slam by Kazarian and afterwards he comes
over and starts jumping on and kicking Lynn’s bad shoulder. Kazarian goes up
to the top but Lynn stops him with a Hurricarana snap off the ropes.
Kazarian is still working on Lynn’s shoulder and the crowd is not very happy
about it.. A high jump kick into Lynn’s face gets a two count.

Kazarian with the cross arm breaker but Lynn manages to get his foot to the
ropes for a ropebreak. Kazarian goes back to the shoulder again (that kid is
back on the escalator again…) and then off the ropes with a missile drop
kick but Lynn blocks it. Clothesline by Lynn and then he floats over the
rope with an inverted DDT on Kazarian. Lynn gets a two count and the crowd’s
full support. He follows with a sit down powerbomb for another two. Russian
leg sweep by Lynn followed by a shoulder block into a slingshot DDT for
    another two count on Kazarian.

Kazarian fights back with a few chops to Lynn’s back. He sets up the Back to
the Future for a two count. Lynn gets out and lets loose a few elbows to
Kazarian’s head. Lynn goes for the TKO fireman’s carry for another two
count. Lynn attempts a cradle pile driver but he’s in too much pain from his
shoulder. They exchange a few two counts and then Kazarian finally gets the
pin much to the dismay of the crowd. Winner: Kazarian at 9:04

Good overall match yet I was surprised by the
crowd reaction. They just didn’t seem to be into this match very much.
Usually when Lynn is in the ring the crowd is on fire but not so much
tonight. Being Kaz was gone for a while I would have thought they would have
been more interested in it. Oh well, it came across well on
    television.

Raven comes into the ring and gets Kazarian with the Raven Effect DDT. Now
the crowd is happier! Raven wants to know where his title shot is. He says,
“patience is a virtue but I’m not that virtuous.” He tells Russo and Jarrett
to pay attention because he is the most qualified for a title shot. Raven is
tired of standing and waiting in line. He wants to know, “What about Raven?”
At this point he goes over and kicks Kazarian a few more times, just for
good measure. He tells us all that if we were surprised by how ruthless he
was before, we will be mortified by what he will do now. Quote the Raven
    nevermore.

The Naturals run in now and begin the beatdown on Raven. Kazarian joins in
for fun. A new heel stable is born. Andy Douglas grabs the mic and says
instead of “what about Raven” it should be “What about the Naturals?”

The lights go out in Nashville. Anything can happen at the Asylum especially
when the lights go out. When they come back up we are treating to Sabu and a
chair. He throws the chair at the Naturals and an Air Sabu off the chair
right into a clothesline. Sabu then does an amazing double springboard
legdrop onto Chase Stevens. This is where the bad guys (Douglas, Stevens &
Kazarian for those of you following along at home) run off into the sunset.

We now go to West and Tenay at the announcers’ table. They are reminding us
again that Jarrett is not on the schedule for tonight yet Tenay just
received word that he is here. He sends us to the back where Hudson is
standing by with Jarrett. Hudson asks Jarrett why he is here if he doesn’t
have a match. Jarrett tells us that he deserved to be here because this is
total non-stop action and he is the champ. He claims Russo just wants him to
sit out so he isn’t in top shape for his title defense on March 17th.

We see an agitated Shane Douglas and Hudson asks why he is here since he’s
not on the card either this evening. He tells us how he is Jarrett’s friend.
Hudson wants to know if Douglas stands by his comments from last week to
which Douglas replies “Yes, I’ll franchise his rear-end (not edited, actual
words) New York Style.” There’s nothing like a heel Douglas.

Next up we have a nice little video package hyping next week’s X-Cup
competition between Team Canada and Team AAA.

Match #4- Team TNA (Elix Skipper, Sonjay Dutt & Chris Sabin) vs. Team
Japan (Nosawa, Kuishinbo Kamen & Ebessen)

A little bit of background information here first… Kuishinbo Kamen & Ebessen
are from a fed called Osaka Pro that is a kid friendly group. They come to
the ring in disturbing clown costumes. David Young must have been having a
fit this evening. Apparently they do quite a comedy act in the ring but we
saw none of this tonight. Ebessen’s costume and character are modeled after
Ibuso, the Japanese god of prosperity. David Young must have been having a
fit this evening. All of this info is courtesy of The Professor.

Dutt gets Kamen in a camel clutch to start off the match. The hold is broken
and a nice shoulder block and roll up by Dutt for two. Sabin gets the tag.
They exchange arms bars and then Kamen rings Sabin’s ears with a two handed
smack. He tags in Nosawa. At this point they bring in the picture in picture
screen and we see Harris finally finding out about his match later on this
evening. It is still not revealed who it will be against. Missed the action
because of the announcement and now Nosawa tags in the other clown that goes
    by the name of Ebessen.

Nice drop toe hold by Ebessen and then Dutt tags in Elix. Two count by Elix
on Ebessen. A sharp kick to his back gets Elix another two count. Dutt is
back in and nails a hurricarana on Ebessen who comes back with a shoulder
block. Elix is knocked out. Ebessen goes to jump off the ropes but Dutt
catches him in mid-air. Nosawa hits Dutt’s head with a dropkick and follows
    with a fireman’s carry DDT.

Sabin and Nosawa are at it and a nice enzugiri is landed followed by a
shining wizard to Nosawa. Elix comes in and does a nice double clothesline
on Nosawa and one of the clowns. At this point I was losing track between
the two of them. I think even Tenay was having a hard time keeping them
straight because he had stopped calling names out. Nosawa gets Elix with a
    fireman’s carry DDT.

Elix is down in the middle of the ring and the clowns go up to the opposing
top ropes. They land a Cancun Tornado (skytwister press) on Elix. Everyone
is in now and it becomes a CF. Dutt and Sabin go to the opposing corners and
land flying elbow and splash onto Ebessen. Sabin gets the pin. Winner:
Team TNA Sabin pins Ebessen at 6:58

I don’t know what I expected from this match but I
didn’t get it. Maybe it was the clowns that ruined it for me. I think if
comedy is their thing a’la Globetrotter style then they should have stuck
with it. The match was good but not what I was hoping for.
    color=limegreen>

Hudson is in the back with Goldilocks who is on her cell phone. Apparently
she has gone completely psycho-ex-girlfriend on Watts. Poor guy. No one
needs that crap. She’s a bit too convincing for me. She keeps calling his
cell and screaming then hanging up and repeating the whole process again.

A video package showing AJ and Abyss’s feud is shown next. They end it with
clips of Luger showing up last week.

Match #5- Falls Count Anywhere AJ Styles vs. Abyss
Originally this match was scheduled to be a mystery partner match up but for
some reason was changed to a falls count anywhere match. No explanation was
given as to why the change occurred. Abyss goes right out to the ramp to
meet AJ and they begin to brawl. Punches and chops are exchanged before
Abyss lifts AJ up in a gorilla press and tosses him into the crowd. More
brawling continues as they work their way through the crowd over to the
staircase. AJ throws a hard punch to the midsection and AJ creams Abyss
Abyss with a chairshot followed by kicks to the neck. Abyss starts to lose
his patience and literally throws AJ into the steps.

AJ gets up and climbs the first flight of stairs. Up to the balcony and he
vaults over the railing onto Abyss for the two count. AJ grabs a chair but
Abyss yanks it back off of him. The picture in picture screen is back this
time showing Douglas losing it in the back. He is to be Harris’s second
opponent this evening. We go back to the action at ringside in enough time
to see a fan throw a soft drink into AJ’s face blinding him. The camera pans
over and we see it wasn’t a fan at all. It was that worm Jonny Fairplay
accompanied by the lovely Lollipop. One of the Blackshirts is seen giving
    Fairplay quite an ear beating.

Back in the ring we go and AJ does a van daminator on Abyss. Abyss counters
with a slam for a two count. Abyss gets a chair and lays it upon AJ’s
stomach. He goes to the second rope for a flying suplex and gets a two count
in AJ. Abyss takes the chair and sandwiches it in between the middle and top
turnbuckle. He then charges AJ in another corner but AJ quickly moved out of
the way and comes back with an enzugiri. Abyss picks him up to show his
strength and throws him into the ref.

AJ Irish whips Abyss into the corner and then charges him. Abyss seeing him
coming and scoops him up for a harsh black hole slam. He goes for the three
count on AJ but there is no referee to call it. Never fear, here comes Rudy
Charles. By this time Abyss only ends up with a two count. The crowd starts
to cheer for AJ. AJ is selling away the wear and tear on his body by this
match as Abyss gives punches to his head. Abyss does his little growling
hulk up and open hand chops AJ who flies into the ropes from the impact.
They are in the corner but AJ is fighting back and whips Abyss into the
opposite corner where the chair was anxiously awaiting to connect with
Abyss’s head. German suplex into a bridge pin by AJ for a two count.

They struggle to their feet but AJ is faster as he springs onto Abyss’s
chest. Abyss clotheslines AJ into the ref for ref bump #2. AJ sets Abyss up
in the Styles Clash. Can he do it? Yes, he can. He has Abyss down for a pin
but the ref is still out. New ref Bruce Gray runs in for a two count.

AJ goes out for a table as Abyss struggles to his feet. He gets the table
set up and throws a few punches at Abyss and then lays him out on the tale.
The table gives out under Abyss’s weight but AJ just puts him on the remains
instead. He goes for a suplex and the ref gets in the way right as he hits
Abyss. That’s the 4th ref bump and now TNA is officially out of officials.

Abyss and AJ are on their knees in the middle of the ring exchanging
punches. AJ manages a kick that comes out of nowhere. Abyss just keeps
throwing left and right hands into AJ’s skull. Abyss grabs table remnants
and throws them at AJ. Heavy D from Blackshirt Security runs in to fill in
as a ref and Abyss goes after him. AJ goes to attack Abyss and accidentally
hits Heavy D instead. The rest of the Blackshirts run in and Tiny starts
ringing the bell. They are trying to break AJ and Abyss apart but to no
avail. Siaki, BG James and D’Lo run in to help. After numerous failed
attempts to separate them they are finally successful. The match is called
and the “Bullshit” chants erupt from the crowd. Winner: None; Double DQ
    at 14:42

Reading this over the ref bumps sound like overkill
but it actually worked. It added a lot of intensity to this match. Their
feud has been a classic and part of me wants to see how it ends while the
other part doesn’t want it to end. This match did exactly what it was
supposed to do and that is show the deep hatred and resilience of these two
    men. Good work guys.

We go to the back with Hudson and find him talking to ICP. Violent J
proclaims his love for Tenay once more and then gets on with business. Since
Gilberti, Young, and Kash attacked their homies last week, they want
revenge. They call a Six Man Dark Carnivale match for next week but they
want it wicked clown style. It should be interesting to see how that goes
    down next week.

Back to the announcers’ table and it’s time for Don West to begin his hard
sell. I don’t know how he manages to do it every week without having a heart
attack. Tenay pipes in about the X-Cup competition next week between Team
    Canada and Team AAA.

No sooner does Tenay start about next week’s competition and Team Canada
makes its way to the table. Scott D’Amore leads the way and he gets on the
mic telling us how America hold them down and Mexico doesn’t give them any
respect. “We’re taking that cup back to Canada!” Team AAA comes down and
interrupts D’Amore on the mic. Teddy Hart slaps Juvi and an all-out brawl
    begins.

Hudson is now in the back with AMW. Harris gets on the mic and starts
talking about Shane Douglas. He says that he knows Shane knows every move in
the book but “one way or another I’ll leap this hurdle too. You’re getting
    franchised tonight.”

Jarrett is walking to the ring with a mic. The crowd is flicking him off and
calling him various not-so-nice names. He responds that he knows he’s number
one. He calls himself the Cal Ripken of wrestling. He plans on beating
Harris so bad he’ll run with his tail between his legs into the hills with
Storm. Jarrett vows to wrestle tonight regardless of what Russo says. He
doesn’t car who it is.. Borash, Tiny, Tenay. How about you West?

He starts throwing chairs into the ring. Jarrett doesn’t care what anyone
says because he’s the champ and that gives him the right to wrestle this
evening. He tells Russo he has ten seconds to get out there. Jarrett cuts on
West by telling him that he will knock that silly shirt off his chest.

Harris comes running out to the ring and attacks Jarrett and Douglas follows
him. Heavy D gets in the ring to remove Jarrett. It looks like he will
finish off the show as special referee.

Match #6 The Main Event featuring Shane Douglas vs. Chris Harris
Douglas is yelling at Heavy D when the match officially begins. Once he
hears the bell he goes after Harris with a shoulder breaker across the knee.
Harris is down and Douglas is choking him with his boot and stomping on his
previously injured shoulder. Storm is doing his best to cheer his partner on
    at ringside.

Douglas throws Harris out of the ring and begins working that shoulder by
wrapping the arm around the metal guardrails. Heavy D yells to break it up
and Jarrett is right there screaming in Harris’s face how unworthy he is.

Back in the ring again for a two count by Douglas. Harris rolls him up for a
small package getting him a two on Douglas. You can see Harris is in some
serious pain with his shoulder but still he keeps going. Snap suplex
takeover by Douglas followed by a knee to the windpipe on poor Harris.
Douglas gets him up for a high vertical suplex. A kick to the head and
Douglas snaps Harris’s neck. Douglas just isn’t letting up on the kid
because he immediately follows with a Steiner recliner. Harris fights out
while Storm keeps chanting for him as the crowd joins in. The hold is broken
finally and Douglas hits Harris with a clothesline taking him back down. A
few punches to Harris’s head and an elbow to the top of it. The whole time
Jarrett is jawing away at Harris.

Douglas is now yelling at Harris to get up and he slaps him in the face. Now
Harris is up and he’s not too happy about that slap either. Harris begins to
pummel Douglas in the corner and the crowd begins the count1…2…3…4…5 and an
    inverted DDT by Douglas.

Harris comes back with a bulldog to Douglas followed by a n inverted atomic
drop. He continues with a lariat cross body block for a two on Douglas who
picks Harris up by the hair and throws a few punches and a thumb to the eye.
Good ol’ Shane with his cheap shots. Douglas attempts a full nelson slam but
is denied. Next Douglas gets a two count but then is knocked out.

Jarrett is outside the ring with a chair, which distracts Heavy D from the
ring. Back in the ring Douglas gets his chain out and nails Harris with a
hard punch between the eyes. Harris goes down hard and Heavy D turns around
in time to count but Douglas only gets a two count for his evil deeds.
Jarrett is distracting Heavy D again but this time Storm runs in to help. He
goes for the superkick and misses but follows it with a quick enzugiri that
connects. Storm rolls quickly back out of the ring. Harris spears Douglas
and Heavy D is there to count it out. Winner: Harris at 10:12

Man Harris is really being put through hell and
back for this title shot. Just when you think this kid can’t take one more
minute of abuse he finds this fire inside and comes back to prove you wrong.
There is only one word for Chris Harris and that is amazing. He has really
shown his stuff these past two weeks in the singles matches. I still don’t
think he’s going to win the title quite yet but it’s still one hell of a
    push.

Russo comes out to the ring. Heavy D raises Harris’s arm in victory and then
Russo follows suit. The camera pans to a very unhappy Jarrett on the ramp.
Russo gets on the mic and tells Harris “on 3/17, you and that man... are you
ready for it?” The crowd answers with a “Hell Yeah.” Now Russo asks Storm if
his partner is ready to which he responds with another “Hell Yeah”

Russo then asks Storm how come if he thought Harris was ready did he
interfere in his matches the past two weeks? He scolds him by saying what
Storm did doesn’t make him any different than Jarrett and his goons. He
explains that he wants to do things the right way to which the crowd boo’s.
He explains that what he is about to do is for Harris’s own good but he is
going to postpone his match-up with Russo in two weeks.

Harris grabs the mic and tells Russo that there will be no postponing his
championship match because the contract has already been signed. It’s going
to happen whether Russo likes it or not. The crowd is hyped for this match.
It’s as if we can smell the fresh blood. Russo tells him fine then. He can
get what he wants but Russo washes his hands from him. He doesn’t think he
is ready for the challenge yet and is not responsible for the outcome.

Harris says we don’t have to wait any longer. He’s ready to go… NOW! Harris
and Jarrett start brawling but Heavy D and Storm break it up. Everyone is
hot going into this match. It should be good. That’s all for tonight. The
show ended fifteen minutes early, which is a rare thing for TNA. I was glad
though because at this point in the non-stop action, my hand hurt from
taking notes. For once I was glad to see the action end. Until next week,
this is Christina Schmalz with The Full Monty!

Real quick before I go I want to thank Wevv Mang and his column,
Riding with The Bossman, for the warm main page welcome this past
week. Wevv, you are one stand up guy. Tell Bossman, Henry, and Show I said
hi and to save some of that Quizno’s sub for me.
