    February 28, 2004

Hello again everyone, and welcome to the VELOCITY REPORT! I'm feeling pretty good today, mainly because a urologist told me that what I thought was a lump was really just a part of my body. Not only was I relieved, I was also embarrassed(The one body part I should care alot about, I know the least about). I'm such a nerd. Well, enough about me, lets get to the good stuff.

The show starts with a video package of Kurt Angle saying that He will explain why He beat up Eddie Guerrero. This was from last Thursday night.

Tajiri w/Sakoda and Akio Vs. Paul London
The match starts with some tie-ups and quick takedowns from both men. London gets the upperhand when he gives Tajiri a dropkick stomp to the back. Tajiri tries to counter London with a hiptoss, but London bounces off the ropes, and gives Tajiri 2 arm drags. Tajiri gets out of an armlock and whips London into the corner, but London leaps over Tajiri and rolls him up with a sunset flip. Before the count, Tajiri rolls out of the move and has London covered for 2 nearfalls. After letting go of the hold, Tajiri STIFF kicks London's knee. Tajiri and London battle for a bit in the corner until Tajiri knocks London off the top rope. Tajiri then distracts the ref, allowing Akio and Sakoda to attack London's knee. Tajiri goes for the cover, but only gets 2. Tajiri continues to work the knee with kicks and a leglock. With the crowd chanting, "USA, USA", London is able to get to the ropes. Unfortunately, Tajiri just pulls London back to the middle of the ring. London kicks Tajiri in the face to break the leglock, and after being picked up by Tajiri, London hits a SWEET dropsault. Tajiri is up first, and he continues to work over London's knee. Tajiri goes for his handspring back elbow, but London counters it by giving Tajiri a flying elbow to the back. He covers, but only gets 2. Tajiri grabs London's injured leg, but London knocks him off with an enziguiri. London goes for the cover, but again gets 2. London whips Tajiri to the corner, but Tajiri kicks him, and attempts the tarantula. London counter this by grabbing Tajiri's legs, and dropping him face first. London, obviously injured, covers, but gets 2. London hooks Tajiri's arms from behind, but Tajiri kicks his knee, sending him to the ring apron. London knocks Tajiri down with a forearm, kicks Akio off the apron, and jumps off the apron, onto the second rope(in the ring), and goes for a springboard moonsault. Tajiri moves out of the way, but London lands on his feet, which tweaks his injured knee. Tajiri dropkicks London's knee, and hits a HARD buzzsaw kick for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall: Tajiri w/Sakoda and Akio

Demott's Turning Point: Tajiri distracting the ref, allowing Akio and Sakoda to work over London's knee.

    Commercial Break

The WWE Rewind: Vince Mcmahon announces Stone Cold Steve Austin the Special Ref for the Brock Lesnar Vs. Goldberg match at Wrestlemania XX. This was on Raw this past Monday.

We are back, and we are ready for the next match.

    A-Train Vs. Shannon Moore
Atrain starts by slapping Shannon. Shannon rushes at Atrain, but he just knocks him down. Atrain chokes Shannon out with his boot, and tosses him into the corner. Shannon kicks Atrain in the face, and goes for another kick, but Atrain grabs his legs, and THROWS him over the ropes and to the outside. Atrain rams Shannon into the ring apron on the outside, and then bring him back into the ring. Atrain lands an elbow drop on Shannon's back, but he misses the second one when Shannon moves out of the way. Shannon gets on the ring apron and after a brief exchange of punches, he finds himself o the top rope. Atrain tosses him off the top rope, and hits Shannon with a SWEET stalling double under-hook suplex for the 2 count. Atrain grabs Shannon, and gives him 2 backbreakers before locking him in a backbreaker submission hold. Shannon gets out of the hold by kneeing Atrain in the face a few times, and headbutts his stomach. Shannon charges again, but Atrain picks him up and slams him into the corner. Atrain brutalizes Shannon with some Vader-like punches, but Shannon is able to give Atrain some forearm smashes to the face. Shannon then drop toe holds Atrain face first into the second rope turnbuckle, punches him a bit, and reverses out of an attempted Deraliuer into a sunset flip for a 2 count. Shannon charges at Atrain again, but is knocked down with a shoulder tackle. Atrain then sets Shannon up for his version of the second rope Vader-splash, and earns the pin.

    Winner Via Pinfall: A-Train

    Commercial Break

Wrestlemania Recall: The dramatic finish of the Brock Lesnar Vs. Kurt Angle match from WM XIX last year.

Back from the break, and the Tag Team main event from last week is recapped. It was supposed to be John Cena/Eddie Guerrero Vs. Chavo Guerrero/Big Show, but Eddie was thrown out of the building earlier in the night. Rey Mysterio takes Eddie's place, and we now have a match. The closing moments are shown, with Big Show and Cena fighting on the outside. In the ring, Rey pins Chavo after a 619. After the match, Chavo Sr. attacks Rey, but is leveled with a F-U from Cena. Big Show then Chokeslams both Rey and Cena. The U.S. Championship match between Cena and Big Show at Wrestlemania is hyped.

The break is over, but the next match is just starting!

The World's Greatest Tag Team Vs. Matt Cappotelli/John Hennigan(Winners of Tough Enough 3)
John and Shelton start off some tie-ups, taunts, and staredowns. John uses the ropes to backflip out of an armlock, and give one of his own. John ducks a Shelton-line and hits 2 armdrags and an armlock. Shelton is sent to the ropes, but goes to the outside to re-think his strategy with Charlie. Shelton gets back into the ring, and slaps John. John returns the slap, works Shelton over with some forearms, and knocks Shelton down with a HELLA-SWEET dropkick. He follows that up with an armdrag and another armlock. Shelton pushes his way back to his corner, and tags in Charlie. Charlie beats on John, but John is able to roll over Charlie and make a tag to Matt. Matt whips Charlie into the ropes, and hits a wicked back elbow. Charlie is whipped into his own corner, but greets Matt with a boot to the gut. Charlie give Matt an armlock, but Matt gets out of it and lands a dropkick. John is tagged in, and is sent to the corner. Charlie distracts the ref, allowing Shelton to choke John with the tagrope. John is able to fire back with punches to both Shelton and Charlie, and drops Charlie with the atomic drop. Shelton, who was tagged in before the drop, hits John with an exploder suplex for a 2 count. Shelton whips John hard into the corner, and presses his boot against the back of John's neck. Charlie is tagged in, and Shelton picks John up, and drops him back first onto Charlie's knee. Charlie goes for the cover, but Matt breaks it up. Charlie gives John a backbreaker, and locks him in a backbreaker submission hold. With the crowd's motivation, John knees Charlie in the face a few times to get out of the hold, and nails Charlie with a headscissors takedown out of nowhere! Matt is tagged in, and he starts to clean house with forearms and dropkicks. He hits Charlie with a splash in the corner, and hits him again with a twisting flying forearm smash. He goes for the cover, but Shelton breaks it up. John sends Shelton to the outside, misses a baseball slide, and is clotheslined on the outside. Back in the ring, Shelton hits Matt with a SWEET superkick to the back of the head, allowing Charlie to slap on the Haas of Pain. Matt taps out, and the match comes to a close.

Winners Via Submission: The World's Greatest Tag Team

    Commercial Break

Back from the break, and the situation involing Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero from this past Thursday is shown. Eddie finds Angle backstage, and is ready to beat him up, but accidentally knocks Paul Heyman into Dawn Marie. Eddie, obviously concerned, is ordered to leave the arena by a furious Paul Heyman. Security, who were protecting Angle, escorts him out. Later in the night, Angle proclaims that he beat Eddie up because he is a disgrace to the title. He said that since Eddie is a recovering drug addict, he is not the best representation for the WWE and America. Angle says that he will make the world a better place, and will become the champion everyone can be proud of. Once Angle is done, Eddie comes into the ring through the crowd, and beats on Angle. Paul Heyman sends police out to the ring, and has Eddie arrested. While Eddie is about to be driven away, Angle yells at Eddie, saying that he is nothing, and that he is an embarassment to the title. Their match for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XX is hyped, as well as the following matches: Playboy Evening Gown Match-Torrie/Sable Vs. Stacy/Miss Jackie, U.S. Championship-Big Show(C) Vs. John Cena, Undertaker Vs. Kane, and Goldberg Vs. Brock Lesnar with Austin as the ref, and the Cruiserweight Open for the Cruiserweight Championship.

    Commercial Break

We are back, and the main event of the evening is next.

    Chuck Palumbo/Johnny Stamboli ( F.B.I.) Vs. Orlando Jordan/Hardcore Holly
Stamboli and Jordan start things off, with Stamboli getting in a quick armdrag. Stamboli then hits a hiptoss and a slam. He shoulder tackles Jordan, but Jordan recovers and lands an armdrag, a hiptoss, and a slam for a 2 count. Holly is tagged in, but Stamboli backs off. The fans are obviously for Holly, and he begins to beat on Stamboli. After some brutal chops, kicks and punches, Holly hits the Alabama Slam. Before he can cover, Chuck knocks him out with his imfamous right hand. Chuck is tagged in, and gives Holly a boot to the head on the outside. Back in the ring, Chuck covers Holly, but gets 2. Holly is dropped with a back suplex, but kicks out of a cover by Chuck. Chuck gives Holly a necklock, and uses the ropes for leaverage. The ref breaks the hold after seeing Chuck using the ropes, allowing Holly some offense. Holly is taken back down, and is nailed with a hard kick to the ribs by Chuck. Holly is trapped in the necklock again, but the crowd motivates him to his feet. Holly is sent to the corner, but kicks Chuck in the head. He goes for the tag, but Chuck catches him and rams him back into the corner. Stamboli is tagged in, and he starts stomping away at Holly. Stamboli gives Holly a snapmare takedown, and puts him in a side headlock. Holly, with the crowd solidly behind him, breaks out of the hold, and drops Stamboli with a PICTURE PERFECT dropkick. Both Jordan and Chuck are tagged in, and Jordan starts whipping some butt with some forearms, backdrops, and a boxing shuffle to Stamboli. Jordan goes to the top rope, gives Chuck a flying crossbody, but Chuck rolls through it and gets a 2 count. Chuck superkicks Jordan, but is taken down with a top rope clothesline by Holly. Stamboli tries to military press Holly, but Holly switches out of it and locks in the full nelson. Jordan powerslams Chuck, and gets the win.

Winners Via Pinfall: Orlando Jordan/Hardcore Holly

    VIEW FROM THE SEAT

    - As the GM of Velocity, I'd like to say I was very impressed with all of the wrestlers tonight. Matt/John and Holly/Jordan really delivered as teams, A-Train showed his Big Van Vader side, and Paul London continues to impress me.

    - Not too many people know this, but Raw next week will NOT be in Atlanta as advertised. The arena that it will be broadcasted from, the Gwinnett Civic Center Arena, is in Duluth,Ga. Duluth is about 30-60 minutes away from Atlanta(If I remember correctly. I used to live in Lawrenceville,Ga). Also, Atlanta is in Fulton County, not Gwinnett County, which is where the arena is. I wonder why they won't be at the bigger Phillips Arena, which is actually in Atlanta.

    - The storylines going in to Wrestlemania are really starting to heat up. I love this time of year!

    - In your opinion, what was the WORST WWE PPV ever? Send me your votes, and I'll post the unlucky winner next week

    - I want to thank the writer of the LOP Column Ridin with the Bossman for complimenting me in his latest edition. Thanks again, man.

    - I'm gonna try and buy some Ring of Honor DVD's this week. Based on what I've read, this group is a must see for wrestling fans everywhere!

    - I was at the movies this past week and caught a 5 minute peak at The Passion of The Christ. This movie is, based on what I saw, not for the weak of heart. I almost cried while standing in the aisle. The scene was so brutal, I had to walk out and go see the movie that I had really gone to the theater to see, EURO-TRIP! By the way, I think that THE PASSION speaks to everyone, not just Christians.

    - If the speculation about Ric Flair's iminent retirement is true, who should he face in his final match? I would like for him to put his Nature Boy moniker on the line, just like how Buddy Rogers put it on the line against Flair decades' ago. Who should he face in his last match? Send me your thoughts.

Well, that's just my view. I hope yall enjoyed the report. If you have any information, comments, hatemail, pictures of Harvey Whippleman in a thong, or just wanna rap, send your feedback to Jaba4017@aol.com Please type " Wrestling " in the subject, as I get lots of email. Be sure to take care of each other, and join me again next week, as we continue to travel down.........................THE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA!
