- There is an interesting bit of news for those wondering about this issue... It deals with the WWE Brand Extension (Having RAW and Smackdown be separate identities.) On the WWE's corporate site there is a question in the FAQ section that states "What was the reason for the brand extension?" The WWE responded saying:
"The brand extension has enabled WWE to create two separate and distinct television shows that would provide the opportunity to develop and establish new WWE Superstars. The RAW and SmackDown! brands each have a touring company, thereby enabling us to increase the number of international live events yet lower the number of events at which each of our Superstars performs. Fewer events extend the careers of existing talent while provide more exposure to new talent. As well, there is the further opportunity to develop more pay-per-view events and distinctive consumer products. The company is considering increasing the number of pay-per-view events to 14 in fiscal 2005."

- Vince McMahon was on the FOX NEWS Channel yesterday. He was on the show "Fox and Friends." He was interviewed by Brian Kilmeade of Fox News. Vince basically talked about what it was like to visit the Armed Forces and put on a show in front of them before Christmas. He said it was a great experience. He also noted that the WWE brought their own ring. He talked how about how they flew directly in to Baghdad Airport, something only military planes are allowed to do now.
Vince also stated that the people who went along with them and WWE wrestlers stayed in one of Saddam Hussein's palaces and slept on cots.
