Hello again everyone! Welcome to another edition of Velocity! I'm sorry that I didn't put up a report last week ( my brother Eddie and his wife Helen came to visit ), but I'm back and ready to report!
Paul London Vs. Tajiri ( non-title )
Match starts with a tie up and arm lock attempts. Tajiri swats London's face, and now it's on! London flips out of a kick and a takedown attempt, and lands a perfect crucifix pin for a 2 count. Tajiri tries to slam London, but is rolled up in a sunset flip for another 2 count. London takes Tajiri down with a headscissors in the corner, and hits a reverse elbow smash for a 2 count. London goes for a suplex, but Tajiri slides out and kicks his back for a 2 count on London. Tajiri works Londons' back with kicks, punches, and a camel clutch. London gets out by picking Tajiri up, and sending him back first into the corner. London rushes at Tajiri, but gets caught in the Tarantula! London is covered, but kicks out at 2. London flips out of a german suplex, and hits a dropsault. London hits a few clotheslines, and then a sweet enziguiri for a 2 count. Tajiri gets knocked down, then London ( from the apron to inside the ring ) hits a springboard moonsault for a nearfall. Tajiri gets whipped into the ropes, but nails London with the handspring back elbow. He covers, but gets 2. London ducks a buzzsaw kick, and drops Tajiri with a double arm facebuster for a 2 count. London goes to the top rope, hits a perfect missile dropkick, but again gets 2. London picks Tajiri up, but is met with a roundhouse kick, and then the buzzsaw kick, giving Tajiri the victory.
Winner Via Pinfall: Tajiri
Commercial Break
Back from the break, and the fatal four way tag title match is recapped. The Basham Brothers defended against Los Guerreros, Haas/Benjamin, and Rikishi/Scotty2Hotty. It was a crazy match that ended with Doug Basham pinning Chavo Guerrero after he hit a splash from the top rope. Demott's Turning Point was when in one corner, Chavo superplexed Danny Basham, and in the other corner, Doug hit a tope rope splash, and switched places with Danny, to make the ref think he was the legal man.
Commercial Break
The WWE Rewind: Farooq getting low blowed and Gored by Rhyno, in their match on Smackdown.
Back from the break, and our next match is up.
Matt Morgan Vs. Funaki
Funaki starts with some punches, but gets kneed in the gut. Funaki is whipped into the ropes, but he holds the ropes, sending a running Morgan to the floor. Funaki hits a baseball slide, but runs away when Morgan get right back up. Back in the ring, Funaki meets the botton of Morgan's shoe, via a big boot. Morgan slams Funaki, and puts him in a single crab for a bit. He lets go, only to drive Funaki's knee into the mat. Morgan throws him into the corner, and gives Funaki a clothesline. Funaki gets choked in the ropes, and then almost slammed by Morgan, but he gets out of it and kicks Morgan in the face. Funaki covers, but gets a 1 count with force. Morgan nails a hard clothesline and signals for the finish. Funaki tries to reverse the finisher with a hurricarana, but Morgan is too big, and Funaki gets dropped with a Sit Out Powerbomb. Morgan covers for the win.

The WWE Body Slam of the Week: Chris Benoit defeating Chuck Palumbo, and then an F.B.I. beatdown on Benoit afterwards. Wow, Chucks superkick is hard!
We are back, and a member of the Federal Bra Inspectors is making his way to the ring.
Johnny Stamboli Vs. Spanky
Match starts immediatley with a headlock after Stamboli pushed Spanky down. Spanky gets out, but is met with a hard shoulder tackle. Stamboli taunts Spanky, mainly making fun of his size. Both men tie up, both try take the other down, and the Spanky is thrown to the outside. He gets right back in with some punches, but Stamboli goes to the outside. He gets back in, but gets a droptoe hold by Spanky. Spanky starts working over his knee with punches, kicks, elbows, and head butts. Stamboli tries to break out, but Spanky nails a dropkick, sets his leg on the ropes, and drops a wicked elbow and knee on it. Spanky's on that knee like a dog's on a bone! Stamboli then kicks Spanky, sending him shoulder first into the ring post. Stamboli hits a hard clothesline for a 2 count. He begins to work over Spanky's shoulder with an armbar and an armbreaker. Stamboli picks him up and drops him, carelessly, gut first onto the ropes. He brings him back in the ring with a shoulder breaker takedown. Stamboli goes for the cover, but gets a 2 count. Spanky gets locked in a shoulder/arm submission, but is willed out of it by the crowd's cheers of " Spanky, Spanky ". Spanky gets sent into the corner, but gets out and kicks Stamboli in the face, putting him in the corner. Spanky hits a forearm, and then a headscissors takedown. He nails Stamboli with a flying back elbow, and then what looked like a jumping superkick. He goes for the cover, but gets a nearfall. Spanky is whipped into the ropes, jumps over Stamboli, and looks to be hurt. Stamboli takes advantage of this by nailing his version of an Edgecution ( High impact DDT, you know what I'm talking about Edgeheads! ) for the win.
Winner Via Pinfall: Johnny Stamboli

We're back, and the situation surrounding Hardcore Holly is recapped. Paul Heyman announced that Holly would get to wrestle in a tag team match, with Shannon Moore as his partner, against Matt Morgan and the ATrain. If Holly's team won, he would get a future title shot against Brock Lesnar. If he lost, he would be fired. Heyman also had Brock defend the title against a wrestler chosen from a tumbler. That wrestler was Shannon Moore. After the beatdown, Lesnar revealed that all the name in the tumbler were Shannon Moore. The tag match started shortly after, and after being beaten on for the longest time, Shannon tagged in Holly. After a chairshot from Brock and a few other distractions, Holly pinned Morgan after delivering the alabama slam. Holly gets his match against Lesnar sometime in the near future.

Well, another Velocity is in the books. I'm gonna try and get a one time deal column to post my ideas on what the Wrestlemania XX card should be. Everyone else seems to be doing it, so I might as well. Also, I ordered the 3 NWA TNA DVD's a few weeks ago, and they should be in my mailbox really soon. They should be pretty cool. Also, I think i'll do a best of 2003 next week, since I'm not sure if they'll do Velocity next week, due to the trip to Iraq. Maybe they'll tape it at a house show or something. My categories for the best of 2003 will be:
Match of the year Tag Team of the Year
Wrestler of the year PPV of the year
Finishing Move of the Year
Fued of the Year
This applies to ALL wrestling promotions. If you have any suggestions on what should be the best in any category, any ideas for Wrestlemania XX, or just wanna chat, email me at Jaba4017@aol.com In the subject, please type "wrestling" in it, cause I get alot of junk mail. Everyone have a merry Christmas, and meet me here next week!
