WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations Jim Ross was interviewed earlier in the week on 'Between the Ropes', regarding his thoughts on the company and the upcoming RAW PPV this weekend, Armageddon.
- He feels that the return of Mick Foley and The Rock has been very good for locker room morale in the RAW camp, especially when it comes to the interaction between these established legends of the business, and the new up and coming wrestlers.
- He mentions that Mick Foley will be scheduled to appear for the next few weeks, but doesn't comment on Foley's status for WrestleMania XX.
- The Rock will be working around his film schedule in accordance to extra appearances on Raw. Ross feels that Rock will be on-screen much more come the time leading up to WrestleMania XX.
- Jim Ross is surprised at Mick Foley's longevity in the wrestling business, considering he is so family-orientated. Foley's presence to the show is invaluable.
- Ross states that bringing in such 'main-event' guys to the roster will take Raw onto the next step. He is also looking forward to the return of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and earmarks the 'Rattlesnake' as another guy who falls under the aforementioned category.
- JR feels that the Smackdown roster's recent 'plane journey to hell' was slightly exaggerated, but stated that he was glad he was not on the journey.
- Ross said that Nathan Jones was in good spirits, the last time he caught up with him. He did not foresee his departure from the company. Jones was aware that he needed some more improvement, but Ross felt he was nearly there.
