Randy Savage returning to WWE?, Major WWE legend to possibly return, more

  • Randy Savage has been saying in recent radio interviews that he's planning a big return to the ring, and one source has stated that there is some backing to this, and we could expect to see Macho Man have some involvement with either WWE or TNA in the near-future.

Vince McMahon has always resented Savage for leaving years ago for WCW, but sources say he's finally becoming more open to the idea of a Savage return. He's still not definitely into it yet, but it looks like it could be more and more possible.

Savage recently did an interview for SmackDown! Magazine. That could have been a test to gauge the fan reaction, to see if a return was worth it.

  • As you know, WWE is setting up a Kane/Undertaker match at WrestleMania XX, with Undertaker likely returning for the feud with his deadman gimmick.

However, rumors are already starting to circulate about how the feud would play out. According to The Torch, one rumor is that Dennis Knight, better known as Mideon, will return for the feud. Knight has been telling friends that he will return.

While these rumors often have no backing, most feel that because of Mideon's great rapport with the WWE lockerroom, he could actually be telling the truth, and will have a character that will get involved in the angle.

  • Believe it or not, we've learned that Ricky Steamboat is very probable for WrestleMania.

While he retired several years ago from injury, he's supposedly told those close to him that if the terms were right, he'd wrestle one more match. WWE is hoping they could get their hands on Steamboat, at least for an appearance, at the big PPV.

One opponent, if Steamboat did agree to come out of retirement for a match, that WWE is thinking about is Ric Flair. Steamboat was one of Flair's best opponents over the years, and it would be a way to use Flair in an impactful way at WrestleMania. That's of course not confirmed, at all, but simply backstage talk right now.

Steamboat did not leave WWE on the best of terms, but from what I understand, that is not likely to pose a major issue in terms of negotiations. Steamboat is said to be very interested in wrestling Flair again, in particular, which makes the match seem even more likely.
