The show kicked off with Eric Bischoff and The Coach welcoming us and busting on Detroit. Bischoff says "That Bubba Ray has been suspended tonite and D-Von will have to find a Mystery Partner to defend the Tag Titles"! Afterwards Bischoff talked about how it's so great that Austin isn't around anymore. Out comes Hurricane and Bischoff told him "If you want your job to go easy tonite then relax." So Hurricane was about to Choke Slam him, but it was interupted with The Brooklyn Brawler attacking him! Tommy Dreamer ran out and was about to nail Brawler with the Kendo Stick but instead nails The Hurricane! This led Rosey to make the save and set up the opener! Match 1- The Hurricane & Rosey beat Tommy Dreamer & The Brooklyn Brawler when Hurricane gave Brawler The Flying High Cross Body Off the Top for the 1-2-3! Afterwards La Resistance ran out and attacked Hurricane and Rosey. This led Cade and Jindrak to run out and attack La Resistance which set up the 2nd match of the night! Match 2- Garrison Cade & Mark Jindrak beat La Resistance with Cade and Jindrak's Double Finisher on Rob Conway. Match 3- Mark Henry (w/Theodore Long) beat Val Venis after a Power Slam. Henry destroyed Val in this one. Before the match Long cut a promo sayin "The only thing black about the Red Wings is the puck." Val then said "Long couldn't beat the girl up who he was arguing with in the 1st row!" Match 4- Lita & Christian beat Molly & Matt Hardy when Lita pinned Molly after The Twist of Fate! After the match Coach came out and insulted Lita which led, Jazz coming out and attacking her. Lita then made quick work of her and finally knocked out Coach! Lita looks great if I might add. Match 5- Chris Jericho beat Maven with The Walls of Jericho Submission in the middle of the ring. Really good match, both men showed excellent work! Before the contest Y2J did his awesome mic work insulting Detroit! Intermission Match 6- D-Von & Mystery Partner The Hurricane! beat Test & Scott Steiner (w/Stacey) in a Tables Match to retain The World Tag Team Championship when D-Von and Hurricane put Test through the Table. Cool to see Hurricane wrestle twice tonite! Also during the match Hurricane slapped D-Von on the chest to get the Tables just like Bubba does! Match 7- RVD beat Kane by DQ to retain The Intercontinental Championship when Kane nailed RVD with the Chair! After Kane Choked Slammed RVD and it was all over. This match was no more than 2 min. long. Some very cool RVD classic spots in a short period of time! Main Event- Goldberg & Booker T beat HHH, Randy Orton, & Batista following the Spear and Jackhammer on Orton! Awesome match! Cool to see Goldberg and Booker team up and HHH in action as well! Funny spots After the match Booker did the SPINAROONIE for us and then told Goldberg to do it as well! So the Champ did the GOLDBERGAROONIE for us fans in Detroit! I must say it was a really great show considering I had 2nd row! And can't wait until WWE returns to the Motor City! Also the Joe Louis Arena had only about 5,000 in attendance in a 20,000 seater which isn't very good. I do see WWE is trying to make their House Shows true to TV which is a very smart move so they can sell more tix for the events.
