Report sent in by by 2TX http://www.LoPforums.com moderator Report sent in by Jay11189 Just got back from the Raw-Brand House Show and it was awesome. Not as good as the Smackdown-Brand House Show that was here in June but far better than the Raw here in January. Anyway on to the results. Show starts with Eric Bishoff coming out to the ring to some huge heat. He gets on the mic and starts talking and says that Stone Cold Steve Austin won't be there tonight (huge boos) Bishoff also starts ripping on a fat guy in the front row. He then introduces the man that will be the next Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner. Steiner then comes out to some huge heat as well and then starts ripping on RVD and Providence on the mic complaining about why Bishoff and him came here. RVD eventually come on to huge huge pops. Match # 1 WWE Intercontinental Championship Rob Van Dam vs. Scott Steiner Very good match here with a lot of stalling to start off. Steiner eventually gains the upper hand in a test of strength. After that Scott starts to wear down RVD who was getting beat up for a lot of the match. Towards the end of the match Scott Steiner accidently clothesline the ref and RVD goes for a 5 Star Frog Splash but Steiner goes up to the top rope and gives him a belly to belly off of the rope. Wasn't that move banned? Anyway Steiner goes for the cover but the ref is down. That's right Steiner beat RVD cleanly. Steiner then goes for a stell chair outside of the ring and brings it in but RVD gives him the Van Daminator and the ref wakes up and count to 3. After the match Bishoff comes out complaining and he distracts RVD and Steiner hits him with the chair. He then hits him a couple more times with the chait before leaving with Bishoff. Excellent match here from both men. Winner: Rob Van Dam Match # 2 Val Venis vs. Steven Richards w/ Victoria Steven Richards comes out first with Victorian to some fair amount of heat. Next out is Val Venis to a decent sized pop. Match starts off very slow with a lot of arm and submission moves and the crowd started a boring chant but it wasn't too loud. This match went back and forth and there were a lot of hard chops in it and this was a great match after the first couple minutes and these two men should be featured on Raw a lot more than they are. Steven Richards hits the Steven Kick but Venis just kicks out in time. Both Steven Richards and Victoria though they had the win but eventually Val Venis locks Steven Richards in a move similar to the figure 4 leg lock and Steven Richards taps out. Solid match here. Winner: Val Venis Match # 3 Lita and Ivory vs. Gail Kim and Victoria Gail Kim and Molly come out to some small heat. Then Ivory comes out to some very small pops and then Lita comes out to huge pops. Funny stuff when Lita and Ivory go to the top rope and get huge pops. Then Gail Kim and Molly get jelous and go tothe rope and get heat and then Lita and Ivroy do it again to some huge pops. Ivory does a move where she spins Gail Kim around over and over making her dizzy and then she went to the wrong corner for the tag. A pretty good match here with Ivory playing the face in peril before making the tag to Lita. Lita cleans house and eventually gives Gail Kim the Twist of Fate for the pinfall. Match was pretty good. Winners: Lita and Ivory Match # 4 Mark Henry w/ Theodore Long vs. Tommy Dreamer Mark Henry and Theodore Long come out first to dead silence and they start making fun of everybody including Howard Finkel and he eventually takes his suit off and wants to fight. The ref starts him and then Tommy Dreamer comes out. This match earned the honor or being the worst match of the night by far and Mark Henry controlled most of the match. Tommy Dreamer eventually battles back to some good pops but he runs into Mark Henry and he does his slam finisher move or whatever it is called to win the match. Terrible match here. Winner: Mark Henry Match # 5 WWE Tag Team Championship Dudley Boyz vs. Rene Dupree and Rob Conway Before the match Howard Finkel gets on the mic and says that even though Stone Cold is not here tonight he gave the order that the match would be chosen by the fans here in Providence. Howard Finkel announces the match choices. Number 1 a no DQ match. Small pops but some heat because they want a table match. Number 2 a falls count anywhere match but again some heat because the fans want a table match. Eventually option number 3 a Table Match! The crowd goes crazy for it and then the match starts. By the way the Dudleyz got awesome pops when they came out. Very good match here with The Dudley Boyz controlling it at the beginning but eventually Rene Dupree and Rob Conway take over and work on D-Von for most of the match. The crowd was very into this match and there were several chants. They were we want tables, get the tables, D-Von when he was in a headlock and U.S.A. Eventually D-Von makes the hot tag to Bubba Ray who takes control. The Dudleys do the Wassup Headrop to huge pops. Bubba then tell D-Von to get the tables and the crowd goes nuts. When the table is set up the Dudles get the win after Bubba gives Rob Conway a nice Powerbomb through the table. After the match the Dudleyz get a piece of the table and bring a kid into the ring and gives him it and takes a picture with him. A true class act by the Dudleys. Winners: The Dudley Boys 15 Minute Intermission Match # 6 Lance Storm vs. Rico w/ Miss Jackie Rico and Miss Jackie come out first after intermission to some decent amount of heat and then Lance Storm comes out dancing and smiling to some nice pops. Match was not too good here and was the second worst match of the night but nowhere near as bad as the Mark Henry/ Tommy Dreamer disaster earlier. Rico does his usually stalling and acts like an idiot dancing and stuff. This match was pretty fast paced and both of these wrestlers did a good job especially Lance Storm who did some nice top rope moves such as a crossbody after getting thrown into the ropes which was awesome to see live. I mean it when I say this Lance Storm is the most underrated superstar in the WWE. Lance Strom pushes Rico into Jackie and then goes and kisses Jackie and then smiles. Lance Storm wins this with a missle dropkick off of the top rope. Not too bad of a match here although it was one of the worst of the night but that is just because every match was excellent. Winner: Lance Storm Match # 7 Street Fight Kane vs. Shane McMahon Howard Finkel announces this a street fight before the match starts to some huge pops. Kane comes out first to some huge heat. The Shane's music hits and he appears in the ring out of nowhere (I think it was from under the ring) and starts hitting Kane with a kendostick to some huge pops. After a couple hits Kane starts attacking Shane with some really hard punches. He then gives Shane all power moves and starts to controll the match destroying Shane. He then gives Shane a really hard right hand which sends him out of the ring. Kane throws Shane into the steps and into the guard rails. He then grabs the steel steps but Kane grabs a chair and hits the steel steps with the chair right into Kane's head. Kane is under the steps and then Shane grabs the chair and hits him repeatedly with it. Eventually it spills back into the ring with the use of trah cans and more chairs. The ref gets knocked down and Kane gives Shane a vicious chokeslam but the ref is down. Later in the match Shane hits Kane over and over with the trah can having him fall into the corner. Then Shane puts the trash can in front of Kane's head and then climbs the top rope and goes sailing through the air and kicks the trash can right into Kane to some huge huge huge pops. Believe me that is hard to do and it looks awesome live. Shane then goes for the cover and gets the 3 count to some huge pops. An excellent street fight here with both men delivering an awesome match like it was a pay per view. Winner: Shane McMahon Match # 8 Tag Team Main Event Goldberg and Booker T vs. Ric Flair and Randy Orton w/ Triple H Randy Orton and Ric Flair come out first to some woooooooo chants and even though Ric Flair is a heel he still gets face chants well for now he did but then he got on the mic and ripped into the crowd. He said we are all stupid Red Sox fans and said we root for them and then they choke. (Well i am a Yankee fan at least) He got huge heat for that. He then announces the greatest superstar ever Triple H. Triple H then makes his way to the ring and spits his water which is cool live. He then gets on the mic and says that all of us Red Sox fans don't deserve to see him wrestle there tonight. By the way this match was advertised as Triple H teaming with Randy Orton for about 2 months but now it changes but it is still good if not better. Then Booker T comes out to some big pops and then out comes Goldberg to some huge huge pops as well. There were huge GOLD-BERG chants before the match started before the match started as they were getting rid off all the weapons from the street fight. Booker T and Ric Flair start the match and there were staring at each other. It starts out mostly with some headlocks and then the pace picks up. Ric Flair gives Goldberg the finger and then Booker T tags him in. They have a test of strenght and then Goldberg throws Flair out of the ring. Flair gets upset and starts throwing the steps around and hitting thr ring post with a stell chair. Flair gets Huge pops and Goldberg mostly controls this and destroys Flair. Later Orton gets tagged in and Goldberg still dominates and then he tags in Booker T to some huge pops as well. Funny stuff here as Booker T went for a roll up on Ric Flair and pulled his shorts down showing his ass. Flair then stayed like that for a while and then pulls them up and he was embarrassed and mad. Booker T and Goldberg were laughing. Ric Flair and Randy Orton then dominate Booker T for a while and Booker T does a nice job playing the face in peril and then makes the hot tag to Goldberg and he gets huge pops because he was waiting on the apron for so long. He then destroys everyone. Booker T and Triple H get into a fist fight back and forth outside of the ring and eventually Booker T gets the upper hand before everyone gets involved. Goldberg then spears Ric Flair to huge pops as Flair was trying to hit Goldberg with the money suitcase. Mark Henry comes out and takes Goldberg down. Goldberg gets up a little after that and then spears Randy Orton. Then he gives him the Jackhammer to some huge pops and then pins Randy Orton for the win. Huge pops and then the Evolution take off and Goldberg thanks everyone for coming but as Booker T leaves Goldberg calls him back and says that all the people here wanna see the spinaroonie. Huge pops for that. Then Booker T does the spinaroonie and gets huge pops. The spinaroonie looks very difficult live but is awesome. After that Goldberg and Booker T show class acts and go slapping evryones hands and signing autographs around the ring and this ends a very excellent show. Winners: Goldberg and Booker T Excellent show here. Attendance was pretty good but the whole upper sections were empty and it puzzles me. The Raw shows here basically almost sell out but the house shows are nowhere near as full and the 2 House Shows were both better than the Raw here this year. An excellent show and well worth my money. Biggest Pops 1. Goldberg 2. Dudley Boyz 3. Booker T 4. Rob Van Dam 5. Lita 6. Shane McMahon Biggest Heat 1. Eric Bishoff 2. The Evolution 3. Kane 4. Scott Steiner 5. Rene Dupree and Rob Conway 6. Rico *NEW GALLERY* Very HOT and Up Close Shots of the WWE Divas! WOW!
