MLW News: Corino vs. Funk in a Dog Collar Match for the World Heavweight Championship

  (JACKSONVILLE, FL) - - Major League Wrestling, Inc. ("MLW") is proud to announce that the violent and turbulent saga featuring the legends versus The Extreme Horsemen might very well come to an end on October 24th in Jacksonville, Florida when Terry Funk challenges the fourth World Heavyweight Champion of Major League Wrestling Steve Corino in a no disqualifcation dog collar match when MLW makes its way to the Morocco Shrine Center at 3800 St Johns Bluff Road South, Jacksonville, FL 32224 on October 24th with an Underground TV television taping to not be missed!

  The no disqualification dog collar match for the undisputed World Heavyweight Championship has come about after nearly a year of blood, sweat and violence that has seen Funk pin Corino twice (May 9 and June 20) and recently defeat the champion via submission in the War Games. In addition to pinfalls and submissions, this war of the old school and the horsemen has seen Corino suspended for nearly choking Funk out with a nuse in Orlando, Florida leading to a series of masked men who were later ultimately revealed to be Barry Windham and "Just Incredible" PJ Walker. The World Heavyweight Title match on October 24th will be a one time bid by Funk for the World Heavyweight Championship under the current Corino reign, a stipulation Funk agreed to only if he could pick the rules for the match. As such, Funk has gone with the above mentioned dog collar challenge, a stipulation he feels will not only bring the champion down but humiliate him in the process.

  *No DQ Dog Collar World Heavyweight Title Match: World Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino vs. Terry Funk (Funk's only shot at the world championship under the reign of Corino)
  *Sky Combat Open: Featuring the unique presence of a platform attached to the ring post, MLW juniors will test their ability to defy gravity and risk danger when they take to the air in a new hybrid wrestling challenge. The platform, which will act as launch pads to add a new dimension to the junior heavyweight fighting game giving wrestlers the opportunity to get even more height on various moves and offering the potential for an aerial revolutionary experience. Participants for this match will be announced in the coming weeks on MLW Underground TV and online at: www.MLW.com.
