This was the first WWE show in Fargodome since February 1993. There was probably between 4,000 to 5,000 people at the show. There were 8 matches for the night. The original card was supposed to be main evented by Triple H vs. Kevin Nash and RVD vs. Kane in a cage. Here are the actual matches that took place:
Match 1: Spike Dudley vs. Rico with Jackie Gayda in his corner. Initially they wrestle to ten minute time limit draw. Spike challenged Rico for 5 more minutes. The match continued, with Spike winning the match with the Dudley Dawg.
The crowd was really for Spike. Jackie got the usual response from the guys, as the "show your tits" chant was going on. Of course Rico got the "homo" chants & "you are gay", which he responded by saying "I'm happy".
Match 2: Tommy Dreamer vs. Test with Stacy Kiebler. Of course Stacy got the biggest pop of any during this match. Test gain alot heat from the crowd for way he treated her. The match ended when Dreamer came off the top rope and Test nailed him hard with the big boot.
Match 3: Rodney Mack & Mark Henry with Theodore R. Long vs. Hurricane & Rosey. Before the match started, Theodore went into about how he "only sees 2 black people in the crowd." He said they were brave for coming to to the show around all the white people & for living in this state. He also commented this was truly the Great White North. Theodore then said if he was President, he would change the name of the state to White Dakota. After he was done, Hurricane & Rosey came out. The match went back and forth. The end came when Hurricane was power slammed by Mark Henry. Mack & Henry won the match.
Match 4: Randy Orton vs. Lance Storm. Orton came out first with a Evolution T-shirt to give away and a huge pop.. He said he had a friend who lived in Fargo and said Fargo has some nice pieces of "ass". He then said he would give away the t-shirt to one luck lady. Randy then said he couldn't find any, they must have not shown up today, so he wasn't going to throw out the shirt. Lance Storm then was announced. He grabbed the shirt from the corner and threw it out to the crowd. This match was a great technical match. The end of the match came when Storm rolled up Orton. Orton then kicked out, which forced Lance into the exposed turnbuckle that Orton removed earlier in the match.
Match 5: Renee Dupree & Rob Conway vs. Dudley Boys in tables match for the World tag team titles. Dupree & Conway received huge amount of heat as the waved the French Flag around. The Dudleys came out to probably the loudest pop of the night. The went about 15 minutes back & forth before the table was brought in the ring. The crowd was really into this match. The end came when Bubba powerbombed Renee from the second rope through the table.
Match 6: Christain vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWE Intercontinental title. Another huge pop RVD when he came out. Christain won the match with help from the rope. After the match, RVD then clocked him with the belt and hit him with the 5 star frog splash.
Match 7: Diva's Tag Team Match. Howard Finkel annouced the special guest referee, Val Venis. Team number 1 was Jacquelyn & Victoria. Then Trish Stratus was annouced to huge pop, and then her partner Lita. The match ended when Trish did her hurracarana from the Corner on Victoria, then Lita hit the Twist of Fate to pick up the fall.
Match 8: Streetfight match. Finkel announced Kane, then jumped out of the ring. Shane McMahon attacked Kane in the aisle way. Shane was able to use singapore cane on Kane. Kane came back and throw Shane outside of the ring. The fought in the crowd and up the stairs in the bleachers. They came back to the ring, and found more weapons. The end of the match came when Shane placed grabage can in Kane's face in the corner. The he went to the other corner and did the "Van Terminator", driving the can into Kane's face and winning the match.
Even though there were many empty seats, the show was still great and the crowd was really into it. The only think that was disappointing was that Ric Flair wasn't there in Orton's corner.
