Show opens with Sable coming out and saying that Mr. Mcmahon couldn't make it to Winnipeg, so he sent the next best thing...Her! As she was talking, Jon Cena's music hits and he comes out to a big pop. He tells Sable she's sooooo Hot! and that Winnipeg doesn't deserve to see her. He rips into to Winnipeg and Canada and ends it with, "Winnipeg sucks, so I can't wait to get out of here just like the Winnipeg Jets" In Winnipeg, the Jets leaving is still a touchy subject 7 years later. Chris Benoit comes out to a good pop and challenges Cena to a match, the match ends with Benoit making Cena tap to the Crippler Crossface. After the match, A-Train runs in and attacks Benoit and Bradshaw makes the save. Match 2: Nunzio beats Noble with feet on the rope for extra leverage. Match 3: Rhyno over Orlando Jones via the Gore, very boring match. Match 4: Matt Hardy/Shannon Moore defeated Spanky and some new guy(never heard of him) not a great match either! Match 5: Bradshaw beat A-Train Match 6: Tag Title Match Los Gurerros defeated the Basham Brothers. Huge pops for Eddie and lots of "Eddie" chants. Things got heated with a fan in this match. Eddie and one of the Bashams were fighting outside and Eddie was whipped into the railing and spilt a guys beer on himself. The guy got up and went over to Gurerro as he was on the ground and spilt the rest of his beer on Eddie. Security threw the man out and as he walked away, he laughed at Eddie which prompted Eddie to jump over the railing and push the guy into the hockey boards. Eddie grabbed the guy by the hair and punched him a couple of times until Chavo and security pulled Eddie away. Even one of the Basham jumped into the crowd and break things up. The whole ordeal lasted about 5 minutes and the match then restarted. Eddie got Huge pops during the beating and after it was over and the match was re-starting. After the match, Eddie got onto the mic and apologized to Winnipeg and to the people, but not! the guy he beat up. He said how before he returned to the WWE from his substance problems, he had an indy match here and told his story in the Newspaper of how he screwed up in life. He felt what the guy did tonight was a personal attack and again apologized to Winnipeg and the people. Match 7: WWE Cruiserweight Title Match Tajiri over Rey Mysterio after the green mist to the face followed by kick to the head. Match 8: Sable comes out and tells everyone that Mr. Mcmahon changed Nidia and Dawn Marie's match to a handi-cap match between the two of them vs. Shaniqua. Shaniqua comes out and destroys them. Match 9: WWE Championship Brock Lesnar beat Kurt Angle. Match starts with Lesnar coming out to some heat followed by a huge pop for Angle. The crowd starts chanting, "you tapped out" Angle gets on the mic and says if he was hearing correctly, were they saying "you tapped out" Lesnar gets on the mic and says "he doesn't need this crap, and is leaving". Angle gets on the mic and says, "lets pretend it's the Olympic games, and the Lesnar represents U.S.A. and Angle will represent Canada and he'll kick his ass!" Match ends with ref knocked out and Lesnar in the ankle lock, while in the ankle lock, Lesnar reaches for the belt and hits Angle in the head with it and then F-5's Angle for the pin. After the match, Angle gets on the mic and thanks everyone for supporting him through difficult times and says goodnight. Overall, the card was pretty good with the opening match, the Gurerro match and the Main Event being the best. The arena was less than half full. I'm thinking maybe 5,000 people, it was the smallest crowd I've seen in Winnipeg although I haven't been to a Winnipeg show for a year and a half. Also, the merchandise stands were selling out of the John Cena double fisted horn t-shirts.
