- Triple H appears to have further aggravated his groin injury while working a match in Memphis two nights ago. "The Game" was at the Raw-Brand house show in Hattiesburg, MS last night but didn't compete. Instead, he was in the corner of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair & Randy Orton as they took on the team of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels & Maven. It is not known if Triple H will be able to work at the house show in Biloxi tonight or if he will be able to participate in any form of in-ring action on Monday for Raw.
With Triple H still semi-out with this injury, it could put the Triple H/Goldberg match for WWE Unforgiven in jeopardy. There are only three options that would be available to the WWE in this situation:
1. The WWE can hope & pray that Triple H will be close to 100% by PPV time, in which case "The Game" would probably work through the pain of his injury and go through with the match as planned.
2. The WWE could rework the bout as they did with Summerslam but I don't think this is really an option. They managed to rework the originally scheduled Triple H/Goldberg match once, I doubt they can do it again.
3. The WWE will be forced to either have Triple H drop the championship to someone or they would have to come up with a storyline that would strip "The Game" of the World Heavyweight Championship. With that out of the way, they could set up a new main event for Unforgiven.
Either way you look at it, it appears that the future of the WWE Unforgiven main event and the World Heavyweight Championship rests with the recuperative abilities of Triple H's groin.
- Paul London, who recently signed a developmental contract with the WWE, debuted in OVW on their TV program last night. No word yet on how long London will remain down in OVW or what brand he will belong to when the WWE finally decides to call him up to the main roster.
- The WWE is set to release a new DVD dedicated to the former 4 time Women's Champion Trish Stratus. The DVD, which is set to be released on September 23rd and will be entitled, "Trish Stratus: 100% Stratusfaction Guaranteed", will cover Trish's childhood, her days at a fitness model, and her entire WWE career. Some of the extras on the disk will include 4 full matches, three interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and seven classic Trish moments.
