After SummerSlam went off the air: big celebration for Vinnie Mac

Matt Swift sent in the following.

Goldberg sold his injuries for a while, refs helped him out. He had nasty cuts on his calves and legs, no doubt from the plexiglass or chains or both. The second sledgehammer shot looked DEADLY, goldberg flew so hard.

Here's where it gets interesting. They seriously broke kayfabe, like with the Ric Flair thing a few months back. GLASS BREAKS, Austin comes out, thanks us for coming. I'm leaving out a lot here, but he calls out Vince McMahon. Vince comes out with Big Show, and then when he gets there, Austin calls out the entire WWE locker room. Everybody, even people who weren't on the show were in the ring, it was jam packed. Austin goes on and tells us that today is Vince McMahon's birthday. He asks Vince how old he is, "Thirrrr" "Ah Ah Ah, You're not gonna say thirty are you?" (They're all smiles, this is a total shoot, lots of love in this locker room.) "Fifty three." (BOOOOO NO!!!) Undertaker gets on the mic, "Now I've been working here 13-14 years and you told me you were fifty back then!" Austin calls for a hell yeah if we think Vince is lying. Then Vince says he's fifty eight. We then all sing happy birthday to Vince it was so loud. Vince gave a little speech with a lot of whats from the crowd, and everyone was smiles ear to ear. Stephanie and Shane were so proud of their dad, you can tell. Austin goes and asks Vince to sing My Way, and Vince says he'll do it if he can see a Taker-Roonie. Taker says he'll do it if Booker teaches him first. HHH says he knows Booker T is injured, but he's seen big show practicing a lot (lots of laughs for HHH, love him or hate him, the nose has a sense of humor.) Big Show does the spinner roonie, huge pops. Undertaker disappeared somewhere, haha. Vince says he doesn't know my way, so they ask him if he knows Mary Had a Little Lamb. No, he doesn't. Triple H goes, "Is that the one about the little lamb who's fleece was white as snow and everywhere Mary went the lamb would surely go? No, never heard of the song." Austin goes, "Don't call me Shirley. What's your impression of the paper view HHH?" "I don't do impressions." They were BACK AND FORTH with the humor. Then HHH ribs Pat Patterson a little and they get him to sing My Way with Vince. The first line is "And so the end is near" or something like that and Vince gets upset, "I'm only fifty eight!!!" Vince and Linda make out for a couple seconds, everyone cheers. Austin challenges Vince to a pushup contest, Vince doesn't know pushups. "Do you know jumping jacks?" He does jumping jacks and beer goes EVERYWHERE. Vince says, yeah I think I know jumping jacks and does the same thing. Comedy gold. Everyone hugs, leaves to the back. I didn't spot Goldberg in the ring, because I think he was either injured for real or selling the injuries. Probably just getting stitched up.

    Notes:
    Biggest pops or heel heat:
    1. Austin
    2. Goldberg got chants throughout the night.
    3. HHH got face pops surprisingly. Lots of people screaming YEAH!
    3. Happy birthday to Vince
    4. You F'd UP chant to Kane (poor guy. I started the chant too.)

Oddest moment: Coach - He's a great heel already and/or the new La Resistance guy. (Forgive me, I don't remember OVW names.)

Best sign: "MARKS with arrows pointing everywhere."

They really put on a great show live. I don't know how it came over on camera but it's one of the best in 2003 easily. The elimination chamber match ended sort of oddly for us live fans, I don't remember them saying it was no DQ or weapons were allowed, and Earl Hebner was looking right at them when he hit Goldberg. Oh well, maybe he'll drop it to David Arquette?
