WWE Sunday Night Heat Results 8-24-2003 *Pre-Summerslam*

Live from Phoenix, AZ, outside the America West Arena, just 1 hour before Summerslam, and Coach & Al Snow are outside the arena with a thermometer that reads 120 Degrees, The go over the matches starting with the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Raw Heavyweight Title. Bischoff vs. Shane-O-Mac & Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar for the Smackdown World Title, Kane takes on RVD on the RAW Side, we go back a few weeks to when Kane took the mask off for the first time, and chokeslammed RVD, then all the carnage that followed with Kane burnign people, beating up people and other monster like activities. Good Video package done on Kane & what led to this match. As we go to break we are told that tonights main event for Heat will be from the Smackdown side, as Rey Mysterio Jr. defends the Cruiserweight Title against Shannon Moore...

Back from Break we now focus on the Bischoff/Shane McMahon feud and what led to this match, and last monday, Bischoff showing up at Linda's house during an interview and getting a few unwanted kisses in on the CEO of WWE... Good Video package done here too, we go back to break....

Lugz boot of the week, A-Train assaulting Stephanie a few weeks ago on Smackdown...
We go from this to a look atA-Train vs. Undertaker, we go to The Undertaker on Jimmy Kimmel Live, they discuss Taker's match at Summerslam with The Fuzziest Man in the WWE, Albert.

We go to Tazz & Michael Cole in teh 72 Degree arena drinking martini's and they discuss the WE Championship match at Summerslam and we go back to the Triple Threat match at Vengeance, where Kurt Angle won teh Belt from Lesnar after coming back from neck surgery. Angle talks about how Lesnar was there for him through it all adn then... Lesnar challenges Angle to a rematch, Vince Doesn't allow it, he says Lesnar has to earn it, Lesnar challenges Vince to a steel cage match, and Vince accepts but names Kurt Angle as the special ref, but then during the match, Lesnar passes out, Vince tries to cover but Angle won't count the pin, Angle locks on the Ankle lock and Lesnar turns on Angle joining up with Vince McMahon. A Friendship torn apart by Competition and Greed.
Later tonight Rey Jr. vs. Shannon Moore....

Back from break and we go back outside to Al Snow & Coach, they discuss the WWE Tag Team Title Match between The Dudley's & La Resistance, they go to Terri who is with the Dudleys, D-Von testifies that the Dudleys will get their revenge, tonight they say they will regain the tag team titles. We go to a Video Package starting with the Elimination Chamber Match set to St. Anger, then Mattitude vs. Zach Gowen, and then Bischoff & Shane McMahon, then the U.S. Title fatal four way match. and then Kane vs. RVD & A-Train & Undertaker highlights followed by La Resistance & Dudley Boyz footage and cap it off with Lesnar vs. Angle footage that's the card, it all takes place tonight following Heat...

20 Minutes away to the PPV at this point, and we go back inside America West Arena to Cole & Tazz from Smackdown where Brock Lesnar brutalized Zach Gowen in his hometown in front of his Family... Multiple powerbombs to Gowen that almost drove him through the canvas... Lesnar throws him outside and Lesnar goes to get the infamous steel chair, Lesnar slams Gowen with the Chair over the head right in front of Gowens mother in the front row, but that's not the end, He head buts Gowen numerous times then F-5's Gowen into the ring post, and then Lesnar continues the attack on Gowens good leg with teh steel chair, numerous refs come out, but Lesnar chases them off, but Lesnar grabs Gowen again and F5's him into the ringpost again... His mother jumps over the guard rail and walks off with her son on a stretcher, but Lesnar comes back and continues the attack, and Zach Gowens leg is broken in 2 places and will most likely not show for his match against Matt Hardy, Version 1.0 himself comes out to the ring and his TitanTron says, "Most of Matt's Opponents No Show due to Fear" funny stuff... Matt wants to know why Zach isn't here, he says you may have one leg missing, and the other one's broken but he still has 2 good arms, and with Matt's hurt neck they should be even in their match tonight. Hardy asks the ref to finish the match now, and consider him the winner by forfiet, the Ref does and they announce Hardy as the winner, so apparently the card just got one match shorter... Anyway, the original Mattitude follower, Shannon Moore has a chance to win the Cruiserweight title next...

JVC Slam of the Night... The Carnage of the tag match from Smackdown leading to the U.S. Title four way match tonight...

WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Shannon Moore
Rey goes on the offensive first, quick moving match, not used to this on HEat, Moore sends Mysterio upside down into the corner, Moore sends Rey into the ropes, drops down, Rey dropkicks Moore, both men to the corner, Rey up and over, but Moore throws an elbow, Mysterio off the ropes, caught going under, but Rey counters tossing Moore into the ropes, and time for the 619, he hits it, then goes up top for the West Coast Pop, and hits it, but it's a little sloppy, and the 1,2,3... Very quick match between these two cruiserweights, and Mysterio Retains teh belt.

We go to JR & The King by the entrance way, and they go over the Raw Card, starting with The Elimination Chamber Match, with Nash, HHH, Goldber, HBK, Y2J & Orton... they do a video package on the lead up and the contenders in the Elimination chamber match set to St. Anger, then we go to the parking lot where Evelution is arriving, HHH & Orton will be in the chamber, they fade out and Heat is Over and Summerslam is just beggining....
