Off-air RAW notes, Why Rock missed RAW, Shane vs. Kane, Austin

• After RAW went off the air, Shane reportedly jumped off the ramp onto Kane and the two brawled to the backstage area. Vince also chased after them, before heading to the back.
  
  
• There was also an HHH vs. Goldberg bonus match at RAW last night, just to give the two some more practice. The match is said to have promise, and the backstage feeling is that the angle's gone well on TV so far, so they really need to make sure the match serves as a killer pay-off come Summerslam.

• The Rock missed RAW last week due to a tight-filming schedule for "Walking Tall". WWE did indeed have something for The Rock to do last week, but in the end, his movie career wouldn't allow for the return to happen. He's still tentatively on for next week in Vancouver.
  
  
• Just to be clear, the word going around at RAW last night was that Shane McMahon vs. Kane is planned for Summerslam. No word on the stipulations, or if Vince and Linda will be in the corners or anything yet.
  
  
• Steve Austin would obviously be another huge candidate for a Kane match, possibly even more so than Shane the way it's been booked for the past month, but as of today, he still has no plans of coming out of his "in-ring retirement" for a match at Summerslam. WrestleMania XX is the one date that most believe could mark an Austin return.
