Sylvan Grenier having heat with many backstage, WWE cancels house show, more

  • It appears that Sylvan Grenier of La Resistance isn't making many friends backstage these days. Many feel that he has let his quick push to the World Tag Team Championship go to his head and that the only reason he was pushed was due in part to his close connection with Pat Patterson and the fact that he fit into the whole "anti-French" gimmick since Grenier is French-Canadian.

    Grenier also suffered the wrath of one Bubba Ray Dudley recently after a Raw-brand house show. During the show, Grenier blew several spots during La Resistance's tag team championship match against the Dudleys. Bubba responded to this by giving several stiff shots to Grenier during the bout. After the match, Grenier was pissed off at Bubba and went to confront him about it. However, Bubba just smacked him and said that he better get some respect for the business quick. While this would seem to be an issue that WWE management should have addressed between the two, Bubba was never talked to or reprimanded because many felt that Bubba did the right thing at the time. While Grenier is having problems, his partner Rene Dupree is fitting in just fine backstage and has had no problems with any of the WWE superstars or management.

  • More house show attendance woes for the WWE, as they had to cancel the Smackdown-brand house show on August 9th in Little Rock due to poor ticket sales.

    Let me start off by saying that I hope everything is well with Linda McMahon. After the vicious attack by Kane on RAW on Monday night, she was left sprawled out on the stage after receiving a devastating Tombstone piledriver. It seems that the Big Red Machine hasn’t been able to squash his psycho tendencies since his attack on Jim Ross. I was quite concerned seeing blood on Linda’s neck, and after talking to Shane McMahon the other night, I found out that it wasn’t her blood, but Kane’s. When we talked about the attack, I was asking him if he was going to defend his mother’s honor, and he said that we will have to wait and see.
