The Interactive Interview is back in the saddle again after our one-week hiatus due to Daniel's vacation. Joining us for our triumphant return is one of the most famous independent wrestlers in the business today and a former WCW superstar, Devon "Crowbar" Storm. Check it out as we go 30 minutes with the former hardcore and tag team champion! To the other shows, I ask you. Can you top this?

    Devon “Crowbar” Storm

-- He was a huge fan of wrestling growing up. He'd watch on Saturday nights with his father and loved it. He said wrestling was always there for him and he loved it.

-- His favorite was "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He loved the long capes, Elizabeth, headbands, and just being larger than life. He also loved Ric Flair.

-- He said when he was a sophomore in high school, he realized that being a fan wasn't enough. A friend of her sisters opened up a wrestling school. He trained at Mike Sharp's wrestling school.

-- Ace Darling is a great friend of his. He went to a barbeque over the weekend at his house. He thought they made great opponents and great tag partners.

-- He was brought in to ECW to put Tazz in the ring with someone that is like Sabu to show that Tazz could beat someone with that style. He says he had no problem being called a Sabu want to be, as Joey Styles called him during the play by play of that match, because he guesses he was brought in to be that.

-- He got his contract with WCW in May of '99 but worked some shows for them far before then. In '99, he went to the power plant and homed his skills. In December of '99, he was brought to Nitro with the Crowbar character. Prior to that, he had matches on Saturday Night.

-- One of the matches he had on Saturday Night was against Chris Benoit. That match is one of his top five favorite matches of all time. He said some guys loved Hulk Hogan and guys like that and he thinks they are great too but his favorites were guys like Benoit and guys that could work so well. He says it was an honor to work Benoit.

-- Devon hated the Crowbar character at first. He says he had always been just a wrestler and into his moves, all about action. He says the lack of character is what held him back. He said the character eventually became something good for him. He was just so glad to be on Nitro and Thunder.

-- They told him to just act as crazy as he could to play this character. He did and he thinks a lot of his moves fell into place with the character. He says Russo showed him that you need a character.

-- David Flair was "a blast" to work with. He loved doing the psycho thing with him. He said David learned so much as they went along. But, he liked having to be in the ring more.

-- He wasn't sure what would happen when the Kevin Sullivan/Vince Russo power struggle came down. He says Sullivan is responsible for him being brought in earlier for those shows in '95 and '96. So, he really didn't play favorites.

-- He doesn't like being tight cast as hardcore. He says he has had matches that were nothing like hardcore like matches with Chris Benoit and Low Ki. He says he thinks it helps that he can take those stunt falls but he thinks some people forget he can work a wrestling match. He doesn't mind hardcore but his favorite is not hardcore.

-- When Russo and Bischoff returned, he was placed as a cruiserweight. He feels he is too bit to be a cruiserweight. He says he can work that style mentioning his matches with Low Ki once again but in his mind, he wouldn't classify himself as a cruiserweight.

-- He found the sketches he did with Russo, Daffney, and David Flair to be hysterical. He said his favorite one was when they walked down the street and saw "Movies for $.25." He said his character, being goofy as it was, thought they would go see Ready to Rumble or something. Of course the movies were adult movies and when he and David left, they were all charged up chopping one another because they had just seen naked girls. His other favorite was the Statue of Liberty one where Russo tried to pass a small Statue of Liberty on the streets of New York off as the real one.

-- The controversial WWF New York skits never aired. He said they caused a commotion there but it just wasn't as creative. He says taking pot shots at your competition wasn't as funny as say goofing around in the toy store.

-- He said the Daffney love story was a cheesy love angle that the fans seemed to like. He said if they had given more time, it could've been better.

-- Growing up, his favorite hardcore match was Terry Funk against Ric Flair in the New York Knock-Out. He said he was a fan of Funk since then and he even loved his matches with Sabu in ECW. He said wrestling Funk for a hardcore title at Starcade, traditionally the biggest pay per view of the year was an honor. He said he finally was allowed to cut a few promos when he feuded with Funk and he loved doing so.

-- He was released just prior to the company being sold. They called and said "nothing personal" and that the reasoning was just to cut costs and that was that. The company was closed less than a month later anyway.

-- His WWE dark matches were against The Prototype, now John Cena at the Philly Spectrum. Another was against Gran Apolo at Madison Square Garden. He said the Apolo match was another of his top five favorite matches because it was at the Garden for the WWE. He said he also worked Rick Fuller in a dark match. Says he is a great big man wrestler.

-- He doesn't know why he never was picked up feeling it went well. He speculates that he wasn't picked up because at that time they were doing the WCW invasion and bringing him would be "another guy they're worried about."

-- Jeremy Borash got him on the WWA shows.

-- He feels the Revolution pay per view for the WWA was flat. He said it was a local crowd that didn't really like wrestling. He said the spots he and Sabu had were sloppy at times. Said he liked the match but it wasn't as good as some of the other matches he's had with Sabu.

-- His favorite match of his career so far was at the Eruption pay per view, which was a steel cage match against Sabu. He put a lot of thought into it. He was approached about it in January and it was in the works from then. He talks about the double table dives from the inside out and things like that. He said he wanted a little of everything in that match, both inside and outside the ring. Said they clicked extra well in that ring.

-- He isn't sure why XWF or MECW never picked up. He heard that XWF is starting up again and if that's true he'd love to go back. He said they need to clear the bugs. As for MECW, they just had one show but they never really got anything going. They showed a lot of hope but just folded.

-- Ted Petty, also known as Rocco Rock, wrestled his last match ever the night he passed away. That match was against Devon Storm. Devon remembers that night saying both had a double shot, two shows. He said Petty always was in such great shape. He said the Cheetah Kid, Rocco's other character, was one of the reasons he started wrestling and doing his "high fly" spots. He said Petty always gave him advice through the years. He had never wrestled Petty before that match. He found it cool to work with him. Petty said lets just have fun in the match and they did. He had no idea. He said after his second show, he turned his cell on and got 4 messages telling him that he died. Devon says this is a tough subject to talk about.

-- He originally thought he'd be a regular on NWA TNA. He actually set his other job schedule up around TNA so he could be in Tennessee on Wednesday nights. He says he doesn't know why but they say they don't have anything for him creatively right now. He says he had a great time every time he worked there and hopes to be picked up in the future.

-- The job he rescheduled for TNA is he is a physical therapist. That's what he does during the week.

-- In a recent interview with Danny Doring conducted by The Interactive Interview, Danny gave credit to Devon saying he brought back his love of wrestling. Devon said they went out and worked hard and made the few people that were there react. He said it was a good feeling to click with someone you didn't know at the time. He says he has worked Danny since then and every time it has been great. He tells a story about working a 3 way with Simon Diamond and the Bruiser in Jersey City. Doring sat in the back and heckled them the entire match. At the end, as he was leaving, Doring kept mocking him so he pulled him over the rail and they beat the hell out of one another. He said it wasn't planned but it was a lot of fun for them and the people got a little extra something too. He says they're good friends now.

-- Devon says he is a big fan of heavy metal music. He likes KISS and also is a big fan of older Metallica music. He mentions that he has not yet bought Metallica's new album, James instantly encourages him to avoid that album like the plague, as it is awful. Devon laughs but says he has to check it out to see for himself. He says he also has a lot of other interests like he has the Star Wars soundtrack in his car but basically heavy metal is what he listens to.

-- James says that before they close, he must ask a question. Being a loyal fan of WCW Live back in the dying days of WCW, he remembers a character. Devon quickly knows what James is talking about and says he indeed was Barnshwaggle. He says the gimmick was a goof on Big Vito and one of his phrases. So, they combined a whole lot of sh*t and Devon put it to a voice and that is how that came about. Said it was just screwing around and was a lot of fun. He even gives The Interactive Interview a Barnshwaggle classic, "Bad Radio!"

-- PLUS! Word associations with names like Jasmin St Claire, Daffney, Mike Sharp, Chris Benoit, Lance Storm, and so many others!

-- AND! a recap with Dan discussing his vacation, James being his usual self, and a track off the new KISS Alive IV album!
