Why Kane burned Jim Ross, Jericho/HBK news, Lita having a party, Trish/Kim

• Lita remarked recently on Byte This! that she is set to return to WWE and is planning a one-year recovery party that will be in conjunction with a party for her animal shelter foundation.
  
  
• Trish Stratus put over Gail Kim on the same edition of Byte This! She also said that being a valet for a while before becoming a full-fledged female wrestler helped her greatly.
  
  
• Ratings for tonight's RAW should be interesting, especially since WWE did not have HBK hype up his match with Jericho last week. Last week, most of the emphasis went towards Kane/RVD and the Austin/firing angle, so it should be interesting to see which segment does the best.

• Believe it or not, there is talk that WWE had Kane burn Jim Ross (aside from the fact that it got Kane's heel character over), which consequently gives Jim Ross some time away from the announcer's booth, as a way to slowly begin the process of moving JR off the commentary team, and season Jonathan Coachman for this role on a full-time basis.
  
  While there's no question that JR has the most knowledge and passion for his commentary role of any of his colleagues, one executive says JR doesn't exactly possess the look Vince currently wants for a commentator. They feel that an angle such as the burning could help develop JR into a strong on-air character, not just a play-by-play commentator. Of course, rumors like this have been going on for a while, so take it for what it's worth.
