Update on WCW's return, More on HHH/Goldberg, Nowinski/Bret Hart connection

  • As has been reported, WWE will be holding a press conference for Summerslam Tuesday at the Staples Center, and it is highly expected that Triple H vs. Goldberg will be announced.

What is not known is if WWE will actually begin the push towards this match tomorrow night on RAW, or if the press conference will be the first time WWE opens up about the big main event.

Most backstage feel that this match could be a huge event, but will require lots of storyline work and WWE will have to be careful to make sure Goldberg and HHH are as close to 100% as possible for Summerslam.

  • Chris Nowinski reportedly is suffering from post-concussion syndrome, similar to what ended Bret Hart's wrestling career. It is not known how the two compare in terms of seriousness.

  • Just an update to that "reader tidbit" regarding WCW returning, it should be noted that WWE has no such plans. Vince McMahon remains firmly against bringing back WCW, because he doesn't want to associate a presently weak WWE product with a product that totally failed.

Ticketmaster has made such mistakes numerous times, where WCW was listed for a venue, and they were all mistakes. It doesn't seem that this is anything different.
