Original plan for Women's Championship battle royal, Eddie Guerrero news, more

  • Apparently, Gail Kim wasn't supposed to win the Women's Championship during the 7-woman battle royal a few weeks back. The original plan was to have Jacqueline win the championship, turn heel, and align herself with Teddy Long. However, for reasons unknown, the plan was changed at the last minute and Gail Kim walked out of her first WWE TV match as the new Women's Champion.

  • Many might wonder why the WWE decided for Eddie Guerrero to turn against his tag team partner Tajiri after they lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin a few weeks ago. One reason is that Guerrero is set to become heavily involved in the U.S. Championship scene, with a singles push that could include a run as United States Champion. Guerrero is set to meet his old "Radical" buddy Chris Benoit in the finals of the U.S. Championship tournament at Vengeance and could walk away with the gold after the 27th. Another reason was that it helped with the Smackdown's recent tour of Asia, as it allowed Tajiri to get some high profile matches against Guerrero and with other top name WWE Superstars.

I checked it out, apparently it was put in the
Tickmaster database on 10/17/02 and never taken out,
but since Vince bought WCW on 3/23/01 and the Invasion
angle was played out well before when the entry was
made that still doesn't make sense, unless around
October of 2002 Vince was planning on bringing WCW
back, we will probably never know for sure...
