Final Smackdown Rating, Identity of masked Conquistadores, more

  • The final number for last night's edition of WWE Smackdown are in. The show did a 3.4 cable rating, with is down a little bit from last week. This slight decrease could be due to the preemption of Smackdown in the Los Angeles and Denver markets last night.

  • If anyone was wondering who the guys behind the "Conquistadores" were when they went up against Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio last night on Smackdown, wonder no more. OVW superstars Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore were behind the masks of Conquistadores #45 & #47 (as Tazz likes to call them). They were put under masks so that when the two do debut in the WWE, they won't be labeled as jobbers right off the bat due to the loss. Another reason they were put under the mask was because the two are currently feuding against each other in OVW so it wouldn't make sense if they decided to tag with each other on Smackdown and then go back to feuding in OVW. The masks were able to protect that and won't interfear with their feud down in OVW.

  • Goldberg should be set to wrestle Triple H in their first singles match against each other on the Raw-Brand house show in San Jose. Goldberg recieved his clearance to return to the ring and should be able to wrestle on Raw this Monday night as well. Triple H will work the rest of the weekend tour, before his match against Goldberg, with Kevin Nash starting in Salt Lake City tomorrow night.
