MLW BACKSTAGE REPORT: MLW BRINGS IN TOP PROSPECTS... MORE TALENT ON THE WAY?

Welcome back to everyone’s favorite Backstage Report – Let’s get to it gang….This weeks TV started with a BANG as Sabu was a victim of a hit and run by the insane combo of Mikey Whipwreck, Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, and the devil himself, the Sinister Minister. You can bet Sabu will surly get his revenge as only he can next week in Orlando. Trust me, revenge will not be pretty as we all know just how hardcore Sabu can be. Also, this week we witnessed one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen in my life as Michael Shane and Homicide showed why they are the future of MLW, hybrid wrestling, and the wrestling business. Francine really found herself a superstar here in MLW in Michael Shane and they have great chemistry together as well. Homicide proved that he is simply one bad mother and has more game than anyone I’ve seen in a long time. We saw CM Punk go one on one with Raven in an awesome battle between these two underground warriors. I still can’t wait to see where Simply Luscious fits in this all. Oh yea, and what about Sandman and Doc Death’s sneak attack on the Extreme Horsemen’s CW Anderson and Simon Diamond? When these guys meet up it won’t be a match but an all out WAR. I truly believe this was one of the most well produced WRESTLING shows I have seen for quite sometime and showcased why hybrid wrestling is just so damn cool!

I can’t wait until next week when MLW takes over O-town. It’s gonna be a night of action, surprises, and so much more. MLW has been signing several promising wrestlers including Toronto's very own "Dynamite" Josh Daniels and Tony Mamaluke. They will all be wrestling next Saturday night at Rise of the Renegades in Orlando. However, their matches have yet to be signed. Tickets are still available at just $20 so be sure to get yours today. These new superstars debuting next Saturday have superstardom and making a name for themselves on each of their minds. Don’t forget about the already announced matches taking place as well such as:

*World Heavyweight Title Match: MLW World Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino vs. Mike Awesome
*Bounty Hunter Match: Terry Funk vs. a mysterious bounty hunter
*GTC Challenge (both Williams & Sandman must defeat the Extreme Horsemen in singles competition in order to advance to a tag team title shot on 8/22): "Enforcer" CW Anderson vs. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams
*GTC Challenge (both Williams & Sandman must defeat the Extreme Horsemen in singles competition in order to advance to a tag team title shot on 8/22): Simon Diamond vs. The Sandman
*Raven & "Black Magic" Norman Smiley vs. CM Punk & Michael Shane (with Francine)

PLUS: Sabu with Bill Alfonso, Da Hit Squad, "Notorious 187" Homicide, "New F'N Evil" Jerry Lynn, Simply Luscious, Samoan Island Tribe, Mikey Whipwreck and the Sinister Minister, Los Maximos, Nosawa, Tony Mamaluke, "Perfect Creation" Richard Criado, "and more! Now folks…where else are you gonna see action and matches like this? Be sure to get your tickets today.

There is strong talk that more talent may be on their way in for July 26 in Orlando, FL for Rise of the Renegades to test the waters of hybrid wrestling. Who? Stay tuned!

Sandman mentioned to me that he “cannot wait to come to Orlando and party with ya” – you can bet the beer will be flowin and the cigarettes will be lit next Saturday in Florida.

Be sure to check outwww.wrestletalklive.com this week as I’ll be on to preview next week’s show in Orlando – It’s a must hear as this show truly rocks!!! The host and his staff are truly awesome and we thank them so much for all their support of MLW!

One of the best promos I’ve ever seen aired this past Monday night on MLW TV when the Sinister Minister and Mikey Whipwreck declared their satanic mission here in MLW. These two guys are nuts and it showed but made for some great TV. Great to have you both back together again!!!

The return of Nosawa is coming as well so buckle up cuz he is superb. He's accomplished a great deal in Japan with the DDT group and has been involved in CMLL main events and a major impact down with the office for several months now. He is no doubt looking to make a name for himself here in the states so look out MLW! Nosawa is back! By the way he made his debut in MLW at King of Kings, which is available at:www.hightspots.com.

Homicide stopped by the MLW TV studios this week and delivered some tremendous promos. Like I said last week, he has “it”. “It ”being what it takes to become something very special in the wrestling profession. I can’t give Homicide enough praise in writing – his skills in the ring say it all. Los Maximos are becoming more focused on their goals and objectives here in MLW but have some work to go. Keep an eye on these high-flying brothers.

Raven really enjoys working for MLW and we are thankful to have him on board. He doesn’t have a superstar attitude and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need as well as give the younger superstars advice to get better. Raven has accomplished so much in the wrestling business and has respect from us all.

Toby Wachter of MLW.com is doing a great job with the site. He keeps everything updated and has the capabilities to make us look great for the whole world to see on the web. Keep up the great work Toby!!!

Another superstar I love having as member of the MLW roster is Steve Williams. He’s taken a very active role in the lockeroom as an enforcer and teacher. This Sooner works out religiously and trains like no other. When the Doc is in the house, you can bet you’re gonna see one of the toughest men on planet earth.

Tickets go on sale this Monday morning for MLW's August event in St. Petersburg, FL at the famous Coliseum. Tickets available at The Coliseum Box-office or Ticketmaster outlets. Call: 727 898-2100 or 813 287-8844 or visit: www.Ticketmaster.com.

Da Hit Squad were announced last week as members of MLW. They are two big and bad -ass thugs you can see next week in Orlando as well. Monsta Mack stopped by the studio and did some green screen work for some upcoming episodes of Underground TV.

I want to wish Paul London nothing but the best of luck in his future endeavors. I only met and saw him once and you can check any of my old columns when I said this guy will be a superstar. Good Luck Paul from all of us here in MLW!!!!

Steve Corino is on a mission to be the best WORLD champion ever. If anyone can prove just that it is Corino as he has the old school style mentality of wrestling that has made legends out of men. Let's not forget though, Mike Awesome is looking to begin his quest as well beginning next Saturday night and the legendary Terry Funk has his eye set on gold as well. We’ll see just how old school Corino can get in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to watch it all unfold!!!!!!!

That’s all for this week! Next week we’ll discuss Rise of the Renegades in depth and have lots more news and notes from MLW. Have a great week!
