Kurt Angle becoming a backstage issue, JR's stunt double, News behind US Title

  • Since starting with WWE, Kurt Angle has always had a great reputation backstage, and has been considered a leader. He's always been willing to do jobs and put the business before his personal interests.

However, reports state that since Kurt came back from his neck injury, he's been very political and is now playing the game Triple H (to a lesser degree) and others play - in that he mainly looks out for himself. Many feel that evidence of this new behavior is seen in the fact that it was Angle himself who lobbied for Big Show to be added to his Vengeance match, so that he would not have to do a straight job for Lesnar.

  • Jim Ross, himself, was not indeed burned last night. As if there were doubt, it was actually a stunt double, who was trained to take the flame.

  • Due to the spoiler nature, please highlight below to read on about the US Title:

    HIGHLIGHT HERE:

Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero were thrown into the US Title finals; largely since Billy Gunn has not been getting the pops Vince hoped he would. Since he's not that over with the fans, it would have made no sense to give him the US Title and the duty of reestablishing it. Benoit was always the second candidate for the title; but it could just as easily go to Eddie Guerrero.

    END HIGHLIGHT
