Randy Couture received full clearance to start training again as he continues to recover from the eye injury suffered in his last UFC match against current Heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez.
MMAWeekly.com is reporting that "The Natural" Randy Couture is going to train with Chuck Liddell's head trainer John Hackleman, at the advice of Matt Lindland.
Lindland has been training with Hackleman for his upcoming fight with Phil Baroni, and his stand-up game has really gotten stronger as a result. Because of that, Randy Couture will begin training with Chuck Liddell and Gan McGee starting next week.
New Japan will be introducing a new foreign (non-Japanese) heel group in the near future. As we mentioned before, Ken Shamrock has signed a deal and will be working with New Japan very soon.
Also expected to work with the heel group alongside Ken Shamrock are Mark Coleman, Perry Saturn, Kevin Randleman, Wallid Ishmael, and possibly even Josh Barnett.
