    Live from Uncansville, CT
Announcing: Jim Ross & Jerry "the King" Lawler

Backstage, Eric Bischoff told Cheif Morley he wanted a controversy-free show because of Vince McMahon's appearance tonight. A couple of referee's showed up and said they were on the verge of going on strike due to their recent mistreatment. Bischoff assigned Morely to take care of that problem as Scott Steiner approached Bischoff. Steiner said he wanted a piece of Triple H in the ring tonight but Bischoff said he'd have to wait till Sunday at the Rumble. Bischoff informed Steiner that he's booked him and Triple H in a bench press contest tonight. Steiner said he was sick of playing games.

The show kicks off as we head into the arena were JR and the King welcome us and things get started with the first match.

Victoria (with Steven Richards) defeated Trish Stratus and Jacqueline in a Hardcore Rules Triple Threat match to retain the Women's Title at 2:29. The ladies used mainly trash can lids and a kendo stick and late in the match, Richards got involved but missed while trying to hit Trish with a trash can. Victoria scored the pin and after the match was over, her and Richards continued the attack on Trish until The Hurricane ran out to make the save.

Backstage, Bischoff asked Morely how he thinks McMahon will react to Bischoff's run so far, but before Morely could answer, the Dudley Boyz showed up and complained about the handicap match they were booked in last week. The Dudleyz then attacked Morely until security showed up to break it up. Bischoff threatened to fire them but Bubba said they would jump to SmackDown if he did, so Bischoff did the next best thing and suspended both of them.

Test (with Stacy Keibler) & Maven defeated Christopher Nowinski & D'Lo Brown at 5:50. One week D'Lo is in ghetto clothes, the next week he's in khaki's, this week he's back to his old attire, pick a look, would you? Anyway, after Test missed a big boot on Nowinski and tumbled out of the ring, D'Lo hit the Sky High on Maven but the ref refused to count the fall because D'Lo wasn't the legal man. Stacy got on the apron and had a little confrontation with D'Lo until Test came back in and nailed D'Lo with the big boot for the win.

Bischoff was on the phone in the parking lot as he saw a limo pulling up, assuming Vince McMahon was inside of it...

After the break, we rejoined Bischoff who expected McMahon but got Gene Okerlund stepping out of the limo. JR mentioned that Okerlund is in town for the Raw tenth anniversary show. Bischoff called Okerlund and idiot but Okerlund responded by saying that Bischoff was the idiot, saying that Nitro might've been celebrating an anniversary instead of Raw. Okerlund left and Chris Jericho entered the scene to ask Bischoff to make him the number one entrant in the Rumble. Bischoff said that Jericho will have to win the Over the Top Rope rules match later in the night to earn his spot.

F-View cam made its return, showing Lance Storm and William Regal in their locker room. Regal was reading Lawler's book and said he wanted to bring back some bad memories for Lawler in the upcoming match.

William Regal (with Lance Storm) defeated Jerry "The King" Lawler by disqualification at 1:45. Referee Charles Robinson demanded to check Regal for weapons before the match started and a few more refs came out to help Robinson find a pair of brass knucks on Regal. The refs then checked Storm and found another pair of knucks in Storm's armbrace. The refs ejected Storm from ringside as Lawler removed a chain from his boot, wrapped it around his fist and knocked out Regal. Robinson noticed the chain and disqualifed Lawler, but after the match, the King declared himself the real winner.

Jeff Hardy defeated Raven at 4:03. Raven made his return to Raw, sporting a new haircut and standard black wrestling attire. Raven worked over Hardy's knee for a majority of the match and Hardy missed a spot when he tried to run up the ropes, but JR did a nice job by saying that Jeff's knee was injured. Raven went for the DDT but Jeff countered it and hit the Swanton for the win.

In the parking lot, another limo arrived and this time Vince McMahon was the man inside. Bischoff began the ass-kissing but McMahon said he was just here to make an announcement. On his way inside, Vince had a word with Randy Orton who said his shoulder was up to 94%. McMahon gave Orton a couple hard pats on the shoulder as he headed inside the arena.

A very cool Sean O'Haire vignette was shown. O'Haire was decked out all in black, and his hair was looking pretty wild. O'Haire seemed to be encouraging men to cheat on their wives as words like "bliss" and "pleasure" showed up on the screen. O'Haire looks pretty cool for this role.

After the break, Vince McMahon made his way out and said he had a couple of things to say about teh Raw tenth anniversary special airing tomorrow. McMahon was then interrupted by the Dudley Boyz. Bubba did all the talking and respectfully told McMahon about the shoddy job Bischoff has been doing around here. McMahon said he didn't appreciate the interruption but he reinstated the Dudleyz and even gave them a title match at the Rumble against Storm and Regal. McMahon said he had only one request for the match, and that was to hear, "D'Von, get the tables!" during it.

The Dudleyz made their exit and McMahon continued on with the announcement but was again interrupted, this time by Chris Jericho. Jericho talked about his position in the Rumble and had a proposal for Vince but Vince proposed that Jericho shut the hell up. Vince told Jericho that the winner of the Over the Top Rope match between Jericho, RVD, Kane and Batista would get to pick thier entry spot in the Royal Rumble. Jericho claimed that he would take the number one spot if he won but Vince stopped him there and said Jericho could have any spot except number one, because it belongs to Shawn Michaels. Vince then asked Jericho to take his leave.

Once again, McMahon tried to make his announcement but he was again interrupted, now by Eric Bischoff who complained about Vince undermining all of his work on Raw. Vince quickly told Bischoff to shut it and said it was time for a little job evaluation. Vince asked the fans in the arena if they thought Bischoff was doing a good job, which got a resounding round of boo's. McMahon disagreed and said he thought Bischoff was doing a good job, but he said he wasn't satisfied with that because he hired Eric Bischoff to do a great job. McMahon said he wanted Bischoff to turn Raw inside out and upside down, to shake it to its very foundation. Vince gave Bischoff an ultimatim, he said he has 30 days to turn Raw around, or else they'll be back in the ring and Bischoff will hear these words, "You're fired!" McMahon then left the ring as we headed to break.

After the break, McMahon was heading back to his limo as Bischoff caught up to him and said he needed more time than that. Bischoff said if he was fired, there was nobody that could do a better job than him. McMahon said, "Is that right?" and opened up the limo door to reveal Shane McMahon! The McMahon's got back in the limo and Vince reminded Eric once again that he has 30 days.

Booker T (with Goldust) battled Lance Storm (with William Regal) to a no contest at 5:14. Booker and Regal put on a decent match with Booker getting the upper hand when Storm got himself involved, only to have Goldust come over and also interject himself. Eventually, the Dudley Boyz showed up and attacked Storm and Regal. Booker and Goldust bailed and left it to the Dudleyz who were set for a 3D on Storm but Regal pulled him out of the ring before it could happen. The Dudleyz taunted Regal and Storm with their own belts.

The Hurricane (with Trish Stratus) defeated Steven Richards (with Victoria) at 1:27. Short match with Hurricane getting the pinfall with his finisher. Afterwards, Trish and Victoria got into it while Hurricane dumped Richards out of the ring. Trish then nailed Victoria with a kick to clear the ring.

Scott Steiner was shown working out yet again this week with his rubberband things. A Nathan Jones promo was then shown, leading us to believe that it's still up in the air about which show he'll land on.

After the break, we headed over to the side of the stage where the Coach waited by a weight bench and explained the rules of the bench press contest. Scott Steiner is introduced first and said he's been tried of beating Triple H at all his challenges, so he says were going to see if Triple H can bench as much as Steiner can. Steiner tells the crew to put 585 lbs. on for starters as we go to break.

After the break, Triple H makes his way out, definitely not dressed to compete in a bench press contest as he's decked out in a suit and tie. H passed Steiner on the ramp and headed to the ring. He said that the past few weeks, he's simply been toying with Steiner. He said that the contests they've done mean nothing to him, the only thing that matters is the World Heavyweight Title. H asked Steiner what makes him think he's different than all the guys Triple H has beat in the past. H ran down the list, Foley, Undertaker, Austin, the Rock, Hogan, and said all those guys thought they were the one man that could knock Triple H off the top of the mountain, but they fell short. H said just like he's done before, he'll do it again at the Royal Rumble. Steiner responded and said why wait till the Rumble, and headed to the ring. Three weeks worth of keeping these guys from fighting, you'd think the reaction would be huge when they finally started throwing fists, but it was just about null. Anyway, H gets a quick oneup on Steiner but Big Poppa Pump comes back with a huge belly to belly suplex and commences to tearing H's shirt off and shoving him in the corner for a few shots. Steiner, for some reason or another, strips H down to his skivvies, and even whacks the man with his own shoes, before dumping him out of the ring. Triple H had a nervous look on his face as he backed up the ramp.

Chris Jericho defeats Kane, Rob Van Dam & Batista in an Over the Top Rope Challenge at 6:33. Wow, only a six and a half minute main event. Sort of like a mini-rumble, maybe trying to give a last minute draw to the fans to buy the PPV. Anyway, much of the match is spent with RVD and Jericho pairing off and Batista and Kane doing the same. They all take turns trying to dump each other out of the ring but to no avail. RVD and Kane come face to face and almost go at it until Jericho came off the top but got caught by Kane for a double handed chokeslam. Batista took control and was about to powerbomb Van Dam when Kane countered the move which lead to his elimination. RVD was then able to eliminate Batista and he took to the top rope looking for a Fivestar Frog Splash on Jericho but Batista shoved him off into the nearby top rope and as Van Dam was hung up on it, Jericho finished the job and won the match. Afterwards, Jericho grabbed a mic and declared that logic would say he'd pick the number 30 spot in the Rumble, but he said he didn't care, he wanted to prove to everyone that he was the best, so he said he would enter at number two, right after HBK. Speaking of HBK, Shawn Michaels hit the ring and threw Jericho over the top rope. Michaels played to the crowd and then posed on the ramp with the fireworks going off to end the show.
