Hogan to compete with WWE?, More on his decision to quit, Goldberg to SD, more

As an update, Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon mutually decided to part ways via a phone conversation last week. It was said to be over a variety of creative issues.

Additionally, there are some rumblings going around that Hulk Hogan might get back into the XWF. If you remember, Hogan, Sable, and Curt Hennig were involved with XWF a while back, only to eventually be hired by WWE. Therefore, it seems that Hogan may be using this as a leverage move to scare Vince into welcoming back Hogan with a better deal. However, less pessimistic people believe Hogan could legitimately want to help XWF become successful and competitive with WWE. Please note that the whole basis of him getting involved with XWF is just rumored, however.

There was some talk of sending Goldberg to SmackDown! as a heel to feud with Angle and Lesnar, evidently leading to a match at Summerslam. This was so that WWE could do something productive with Goldberg, since Foley was set to take his spot in the Summerslam main event against Triple H.

- Now, however, it appears that Goldberg/HHH could be back on. Foley is downplaying the possibility of wrestling HHH at SS, since he feels he needs more time to get in shape for a big match. We'll see how this plays out.
