Results from the 6/28/03 WWE House Show
    Coach USA Center, Elmira NY
Attendance : Around 4,000. with many open seats for a small venue

Opening Match: Dudleys (Spike & D-Von) v.s La Resistance - World Tag Title Match
    - La Resistance intterupts the playing of the National Anthem and gains big heat from the crowd for it. Slow beginning with D-Von carrying the majority of the match before Spike becomes the bump machine he is. Finish comes from the La Resistance double spinebuster on D-Von. They retain the tag titles.

Victoria (with Stevie Richards) and Molly Holly v.s Gail Kim and Ivory
    - Interesting womens tag match. Solid work from all the ladies. Majority of the match has Molly working over Kim. Gail Kim wins the fall over Molly. Kim seems to be off to a good although not jaw-dropping start.

Randy Orton and Mark Jindrak v.s. Maven and Cade
    - The first time I have seen newcomer Cade (had a full name announced but I couldnt catch it). Other than a very crisp dropkick isnt much to worry about. Orton plays the standout role in this contest antagonizing the crowd and working very deliberately to gain heat. This kid is going to be big money in years to come. Jindrak looks very similar to his wCw days with a little more size. Many power moves comming from both Orton and Jindrak and very little offense from their opponents. Orton wins the fall after a simple diamond cutter on Cade thatI assume is his new finisher.

Goldust v.s Christian for the Intercontinental Title
    - Goldust gets on the mike and throws a couple turette filled shots at Christian. These two began what seemed like endless stalling before acton began. Some very nice false finishes eventually led to an entertaining match that ended with the crowd very much behind Goldust. A very sloppy finish with Christian retaining the IC strap by awkwordly holding the ropes after a schoolboy for the pin.

Chris Nowinsky and Rodney Mack (with Teddy Long and Rosey) v.s Val Venis and Hurricane
    - Long gets on the stick early and like the show in PK, tells Nowinsky he has the night off and Rosey will take his place in the match. Good match between the four that saw the team of Mack and Rosey receiving most of the punishment other than a few powerslams. For some reason though, we are now to believe that Rosey is a monster who cant be taken off his feet now even after spending many monday nights on his back. Interesting note, road agent Fit Finlay took special interest in this match even as far as to pull up a chair in the corner behind Val and remained there for the entire match occasionally looking over the crowd for their reactions. Val and the Hurricane won this match after the shining wizard and the money shot on Rosey. After the match Hurricane tried his hand at his own Val impersonation towel whip and all. Whats up wit dat?

    -----15 minute intermission-----

Scott Steiner (Stacy no showed) v.s Test
    - What you expect from these two big men who cant seem to get out of their own way. Both go through their trademark moves. A very slow match as could be assumed. Steiner seems to be in a tremendous amount of pain in his back. Had trouble getting up a few times from the mat even after a simple scoop slam. Steiner wins after his version of the scorpion death drop. After the match Steiner gives his usual dr.seuss rhyming big bad booty daddy promo.

    Rico v.s Tommy Dreamer
    - First off, let me say quickly that if Rico had truely spent the time and effort to visit with the great "Exotic" Adrian Street to get pointers on how to polish this "new" character, he obviously wasnt paying attention when being spoken to. Match was nothing more than a slapstick routine. Rico does the whole gay gimmick all too well. To add some sort of interest in this match, a ten minute time limit was added and a time elapse update was given often. A very noticable "ECW" chant went out from the crowd which is no surprise it seems to be the only thing poor Tommy Dreamer is good for any more. Dreamer gets the victory with a DDT with about a minute or so to go in the time limit. Rico flirts with ref Charles Robinson on the way out.

Main Event: Triple H v.s Kane for the World Heavyweight Championship
    - Exact copy of the main event from the tour show the night before. Trips comes out and tells the crowd that after he has taken Kane's mask, he has gone coward and isnt in attendance. Trips asks the crowd if there is anyone capable of fighting him, RVD's music hits. A HUGE ovation for RVD as he comes out. Match begins and is nothing but an RVD assault on the Champ. After 10 minutes or so of all RVD offense, a weak ref bump leads to Randy Ortons attempted interference. Orton gets dumped outside by RVD. Van Damn hits the 5-Star but the count is broken by Orton. After this, Kane's music hits and the not-so frightening, but oh so bald Kane arrives. Kane turns to Trips but chokeslams RVD and ref Nick Patrick awakens from the dead just in time to count the three for yet another countless Trips victory. Kane continues his assault on RVD and sets him up for another chokeslam when the trio of Val Venis, Maven, and the Hurricane come out to try to reason with the Big Dead Career, but find a chokeslam waiting for each of them. Kane leaves, RVD gets to his feet and somehow STILL is cheered by the fans. Another road agent note, Michael Hayes and Terry Taylor were both standing outside the go position watching very carefully the interaction with Kane and the rest of the wrestlers and monitored every crowd reaction.

Biggest pop of the night : RVD (who might go down in the history of pro wrestling as the saddest story in the industry)
Most Heat : Goldust (the crowd thought they had missed out on yep, you guessed it, RVD)
