  • The final numbers for this week's edition of WWE Smackdown are in. The show did a 3.2 rating with a 5.7 share which is down from last week's 3.7. The drop could be explained by the fact that the show was pre-empted in Los Angeles but still, the WWE will need to really bring it's A game as they work towards July and the first Smackdown-Brand only PPV WWE Vengeance. Hopefully, Smackdown in Madison Square Garden will do just that.

  • Speaking of Smackdown being at Madison Square Garden next week, Brock Lesnar might not be able to wrestle at the show due to getting in a boating accident this week. Lesnar stayed in San Antonio, TX (the site of this week's Smackdown) so that he could have a doctor examine his rib injury. Lesnar and a few friends got a boat to spend some time out on the water. However, Lesnar fell out of the craft and his leg came into direct contact with the propeller. The blade gave Lesnar a cut three inches long and one inch deep behind his knee. Many stiches were needed to close the wound, but by next day, Lesnar's knee had become extremly swollen. There is much doubt about if he will be able to step into the ring at the Smackdown tapings this Tuesday at MSG. Lesnar would have most likely teamed with Kurt Angle & Mr. America in a 6-man tag match against Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, and The Big Show. No word on what the WWE will do for the main event of the show if Lesnar can't go.

  • It looks like the WWE has decided to go with a new direction for Goldberg. Jim Ross was at a recent taping of "Off The Record" and mentioned that Goldberg would be presented at someone who talks little but does a lot of fighting. Many fans and WWE executives, including Linda McMahon, have been disappointed with Goldberg's recent sting in the WWE and this may be a way to try and recapture the intensity of his WCW run.
