What you didn't see on RAW, Steiner in horrible pain, A-Train's contract

  • Scott Steiner is reportedly in horrible shape once again, to the point where he's in pain in everyday life. Additionally, while on the plane ride to the UK for Insurrextion, he laid down the entire ride, due to the back pain he was experiencing.

  • WWE re-signed A-Train to a contract with a much lower downside guarantee. Morale has really declined as payoffs are very bad, while expenses are not getting any lower.

  • Thanks to Victor Perez for the following notes:

After RAW ends, Stone Cold and Kane celebrate with beer in the ring. HHH then gets back up and comes face to face with Austin. Austin intimidates HHH, who backs up only to realize Kane is right behind him. Hunter then receives a stunner from Austin.

Kane and Austin then celebrate with more beer, and Kane actually throws a beer into the audience, only to have it thrown right back into the ring.

HHH gets up again and tries drinking some beer to get fan support, but he just gets another stunner, followed by a chokeslam for his efforts. The segment continues with more beer until Lillian Garcia finally thanks the fans for coming and the live show ends.

Just wanted to add a couple of things to the Off Air notes.

The American Airlines Center was about 75% full, with all of the upper deck behind the camera and both upper ends blocked off. I have attended the last couple of shows the WWE held there, and it seemed that they had a different setup this time than the last couple of times. The entrance ramp was closer, and that blocked off more seats.

Lillian was opening the show with the national anthem, and halfway thru she was interrupted with a video promo for La Restiance.

Just an opinion, but if your going to interrupt the national anthem, at least do it with somebody cutting a promo, not a video package!!

Also, when the wrestlers left the ring area, instead of going back up the ramp, most of them went around the sides of the ramp, and around the sides of the stage. The fans were within 5 to 10 feet of them, and all of the guys interacted with them as they passed, with Ric Flair acting like he was going to go after a girl, with Randy Orton holding him back. All of the guys "sold" their injuries all the way to the back. All of the guys responded to the fans as they walked back.

We had an interview that did not air on Raw between Lance Storm and Terri. She complimented him on his wrestling skills, his body, and then told him that he had no personality. She mouthed the word "Boring" as he walked off.

Note to WWE-- Actually wanting your audience to chant "Boring" is NOT a good idea. The chant was loud during the Rico vs. Spike match.

Post match activities ran about 15 to 20 min after Raw went off the air.

Overall, I was pleased with the live presentation, and the attendance was good.
