The very latest on Sting/WWE and more on Kurt Angle's return

The very latest on the man called Sting is that the Stinger and the WWE have NOT talked and have NOT come to a deal on a working agreement for Sting to wrestle in the WWE. Dave Scherer of 1wrestling.com has heard from those close to Sting that he currently has no desire to go to the WWE at this point in time.

The last "news" story to come out on Sting was a rumor that he already signed with the WWE or had some kind of verbal agreement, and that he'd show up on WWE television in June. This was during the time that Bill Goldberg came in and Kevin Nash returned, as the general thinking was to hold off Sting's debut for the future. Time will tell whether the WWE has already signed Sting, will make an offer to Sting he can't refuse, or if Sting will never show up in the WWE.

Kurt Angle recently did an interview on Canada's The Score, in which he said he was returning as a face. To add to this more, the WWE's website ran a poll asking whether you'd cheer or boo Kurt Angle when he returns. 68% said they would cheer him, and this is after the fact he left the WWE for surgery as a heel. Even more, he's listed on several upcoming Smackdown houseshows as a TAG PARTNER with none other than Brock Lesnar, whom he wrestled at Wrestlemania. Again, I strongly suggest you take these Kurt Angle rumors with a grain of salt!!!

Just caught the end of a Kurt Angle Interview on The
    Score in Canada.

Kurt talked about his neck surgery and his upcoming
    return:

    On his neck injury:
Says that if Vince McMahon has his choice, Angle would
have undergone the Neck Fusion surgery. Angle didn't
want to do that surgery, because he said the fusion
"limits mobility in your neck." He said he chose the
minimally invasive surgery, and got his neck repaired.

    On his original injury:
Kurt talked about how he broke his neck during the
1996 Olympics, and didn't tell anyone about it. He
said that he didn't tell anyone in the WWE, didn't
tell Vince, didn't tell Vince about the "chronic neck
    pains" that he had.
Said that that injury was much worse, he had bone
damage, tendon damage, pulled nine muscles, had spinal
cord injuries. This current injury was just an
    offshoot of that injury.

    On working a reduced schedule:
Said that he doesn't want to do that, as "we have too
mnay people doing that right now." He talked about
Nash, HBK, and others, and said that he would really
like to work a full schedule.

On his status with the fans:
Said that he's mostly been a heel, but gets cheered
all the time that he's in Canada. His thoughts? "I
think they just like their heels up here."

On his status on his return:
"I think I'll come back as a babyface." He talked
about his time as a heel, and that he was only a face
for a couple of months, to work a program with Stone
Cold. He said he thinks it would be fun to try being a
    face.

On his goals in the WWE:
Angle has two goals that he would like to accomplish
    upon his return:
    1) He wants to try to win over the fans (as a face)
    2) He wants to, down the road, be known as the best
ever. He thinks he has maybe a "50/50 chance of that
happening," but he "will try, and he will work his
    butt off," to do it.
