WWE House Show Results from Ft. Myers, Florida 5/25/03

I went to the Smack Down! Brand house show at the Teco Arena in Ft. Myers, FL tonight. Awesome show. The attendance was surprisingly well. The arena was about 80% full. Here's the results...
Chimmel came out first to "The Beautiful People" to a good pop. After he got in the ring he started talking, and the mic didn't work. He got heat. Then got cheered again when it worked. He ran down the rules and all that stuff...
1) Six Man Tag: FBI vs. Rikishi, Spanky & Bill DeMott w/ A Contest Winner
FBI came out first to a lot of heat. Then Kish's music hit and all three faces came out to a big pop. FBI played to the crowd, yelling at people. It was a back and forth match. Nothing too much to tell. Nunzio went for a Sunset Flip on Kish, but Kish sat down and got the win.
Winners: Rikishi, Spanky & Bill DeMott
2) Crash vs. Orlando Johnson
Pretty boring match but Crash was entertaining. "Reading" from the Hardys book to "Gain Wisdom of Mattitude." Not too much to tell. End came when Johnson & Crash did a pin series ala ECW, Crash had a roll up and used the ropes for leverage.
Winner: Crash
3) A-Train & Kanyon vs. Doug Basham & Danny Holle
Out first came Basham & Holle to a small mixed reaction. Next came Train & Kanyon to a pop at first that turned to heat and "Shave Your Back" chants. Good match. Basham got a busted nose from a Bicycle kick. Holle was going after Kanyon, Train turned him around and gave him the Derailer.
Winners: A-Train & Kanyon
4) Sean O'Haire vs. Rhyno
O'Haire came out to small heat. Then Rhyno came out to a big pop. Rhyno got on the mic and said "Ft Myers likes Rhyno...? Well Rhyno likes Ft. Myers." He then talked about O'Haire aligning himself with Piper. Good match. O'Haire used kicks while Rhyno used brute force. Rhyno ducked a kick, O'Haire hit the corner and Rhyno then hit the Gore for the win.
Winner: Rhyno
5) Cruiserweight Title: Matt Hardy vs. Jamie Noble vs. Rey Mysterio
Noble out first to heat. Then Matt to a pop. Then Mysterio to a big pop. As Rey was making his way to the ring, Shannon Moore and Crash jumped him from behind, threw him in the ring and all four heels beat him down. Then out came DeMott, Spanky & Rikishi for the save. Mysterio, Spanky, DeMott & Rikishi then all gave the heels the Stink Face. Afterwards the faces all danced to a huge pop. Mysterio did the WORM but got up holding his groin. I guess that's why he didn't work.
Winner: No Contest
15 Minute Intermission
6) WWE Tag Team Titles: Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri vs. Team Angle
Team Angle out first to "You Suck" chants. Then Eddie & Tajiri to a nice pop. Really good match. It went back and forth. Eddie hit the Frogsplash on Benjamin. The ref was down, so he couldn't count. Haas got one of the tag belts. Eddie and Haas had a tug of war for the belt. Eddie saw the ref getting up, he let go of the belt and laid down. The ref saw Haas with the belt...Eddie down...DQ on Team Angle. Benjamin & Haas were yelling at the ref and kicking the ropes as Eddie & Tajiri left.
Winner: Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri
7) John Cena vs. Chris Benoit
Out first came Cena to a mixed reaction which turned to heat. He rapped, saying Ft. Myers and Florida in general were full of fat chicks and old people. Good heat. Benoit out next to a big pop. He got on the mic and told Cena "Lets see if you can wrestle as good as you rap" Good match. Cena had a chinlock on Benoit, Benoit reversed it into a German Suplex, he went to the top rope, nailed the Headbutt for a two. Cena blocked a punch, picked up Benoit for the F-U, Benoit reversed into the Crossface and Cena tapped.
Winner: Chris Benoit
8) Nidia vs. Torrie Wilson with special referee Funaki.
Funaki out first to a nice pop. Then Nidia to a mixed reaction. Then Torrie to a big pop. Surprisingly, this was a good match. They did the "Chicks rolling over the ref" spot. Funaki got on the second rope to a pop. Pretty funny. Torrie won with a rollup.
Winner: Torrie Wilson
Afterwards, Nidia jumped Torrie, Torrie knocked her down and depants Nidia.
Main Event: WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show
Show came out first to a pop. Which turned to heat. Lesnar got the biggest pop of the night. Big Show stalled, got on the mic and said the match at Judgment Day was a Stretcher Match not a Forklift Match. Lesnar then got the mic and said for Show to get his big ass in here and feel the pain. Good match, what you'd expect from the two. At one point Brock bodyslammed Show, and while doing so he held him in the air for about 5 seconds. Finish came, as Show went for the Chokeslam, Brock reversed it into an F5.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Afterwards Brock got on the mic and said "Show...like I said...Here Comes The Pain"
Notes: Likes I said, awesome show. Crowd was hot all night. Attendance for Teco Arena was really good with only about three or four sections having about 5 rows or so empty. Chimmel must have heat with the refs. Every time he'd get out of the ring, the ref would throw the cord of the mic at him. He also got yelled at a few times. Them saying "Ring the bell, you friggin idiot" Pretty funny stuff. Probably a rib.
