    MCW Results 5-17-03

Welcome all, my name is Wac, and of course I am new to the Lords of Pain, the best damn wrestling site on the internet! Memphis Wrestling is back again after a two year hiatus. I only live about an hour away, and I'm here to report the results every saturday or sunday, on the best damn site there is, was or ever will be!

Your announcers for MCW are Cory Machlin and Lance Russell.

They start the show welcoming you back to Memphis for some good 'ole fashioned wrestling, and they get right to the first match of the day.

"Too Sexy" Brian Christopher vs. "Sexy" Rex

"Sexy" Rex comes out playing the heel as the crowd gives him the boo's he so graciously beggs for. Brian "Lawler" Christopher comes out to a big pop, since his dad is Jerry the King and they are from Memphis. Pretty much a squash match for the hometown boy as after a few clotheslines and body slams, Christopher nails a hangmans neckbreaker and climbs the top rope and sticks the Hip Hop Leg Drop for 1, 2, 3!

Machlin and Russell show some old footage of memphis wrestling from the mid-south colesium featuring Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, Jackie Fargo, and Terry Funk. They then welcome "Superstar" Bill Dundee out for a short interview basically putting over his tough matches he had with Lawler all over the world and pimping his new restaurant and limousine service. They then go back to the announce table and start putting over a new tag team called Shock and Awe, two huge beasts who represent England. As we come back from commercial, 3 jobbers are already in the ring as they introduce Shock and Awe to the crowd who greet them with a round of boos.

Shock and Awe vs. 3 jobbers

Another complete squash match as they were putting the big English tag team over big time. Shock and Awe disposed of two jobbers early on throwing them to the outside, then focusing there intention on one poor guy with no muscle tone and bad pants! After some overhead press slams and monster clotheslines, Shock nailed the jobber with a Jacknife Powerbomb while Awe immediatley nailed a jumping elbow drop for the 1, 2, 3!

The 'Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart then come out with his lawyer complaining to Machlin that he still owned part of the company from a few years ago. Hart threatened to sue but then said he'll just pay off the wrestlers in the back.

We then went to a country music video showing "Wildcat" Chris Harris! then Harris and Kevin Lyght took on Chase Stevens and B.A.D.

"Wildcat" Chris Harris and Kevin Lyght vs. Chase Stevens and B.A.D.

Of course Chris Harris is from America's Most Wanted in the NWA-TNA, I don't know if he is going to be a regular or if this was a one time appearance, and Chase Stevens has had several WWE dark matches as well. MCW was really putting over Harris the whole time, as he controlled most of the match and Lyght was barely even in the match. B.A.D. looks like Sean O' Haire and looked pretty decent in the ring, beating up on Lyght with various power moves when he was in there. The majority of the match was Harris facing off against Stevens, with Harris controlling with powerslams, flying forearms, and suplexes and the finish came with Lyght and B.A.D. brawling on the outside, Harris reversed a Stevens hurrincanrana into his finishing move the catatonic for the 1,2,3.

Harris and Lyght play to the crowd as Machlin and Russell welcome Jerry "The King" Lawler to the show, as he receives a big pop as expected. Lawler tells how proud and happy he is that wrestling has finally returned to Memphis, as they show old footage of a three way dance between himself, Bill Dundee and Terry Funk. They then cut to the back where Jimmy Hart is seen paying off the tag team Shock and Awe, as Lawler can't believe Hart is acting this way. Lawler then gets into the ring for the Main Event!!!

Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. KAMALA!

Yeah thats right, former WWE star Kamala!, and I do believe he is bigger than ever, as he enters the ring patting his rather large belly. This match is a best 2 out of 3 falls match. The first match is nothing but Kamala destroying Lawler with chops, punches and headbutts, and Lawler is just bumping around like he's a cruiserweight fighting the Big Show! Kamala throws Lawler into the turnbuckle and starts choking him, the referee trys to break the hold and Kamala just shoves him to the ground, causing the ref to ring the bell, as Lawler wins the first fall by DQ. After a brief intermission, the second fall starts, as this time Lawler mounts a little more offense by running off the ropes with big punches untill he finally knocks Kamala to the ground. Lawler then hits the big fist jumping off the second rope, but Kamala kicks out at 2, as Lawler can't believe it since he beat Chief Morley with that move on RAW twice! As Kamala mounts a comeback, Jimmy Hart directs Shock and Awe to the ring to interfere attacking Lawler as the ref calls for the bell once again. FInally Kamala helps out Lawler as they fight off Harts huge tag team.

Lawler wins the first 2 falls by DQ. Then he announces on next weeks show himself and Kamala will team up to take on Shock and Awe in the Main Event! As Lawler gets Kamala to celebrate with him in the ring, a furious Hart is seen leaving the building with Shock and Awe as the show comes to an end.
