WWE Classics - WCW/NWA Worldwide Report 4-17-03

I managed to catch a repeat Saturday morning. Sorry for the late post.

Show opens with Tony Schiavone narrating highlights of the action from last week's show including Sting's appearance, the Motor City Madman, and the Black Scorpion.

Hosts Tony Schiavone and Dirty Dutch Mantell start by running down the card.

    SID VICIOUS VS DAVE TAYLOR

When the match began we had a split screen on one side, we had the match and on the other. We had Sting doing a promo about how he knew Sid was after his title. Halfway through the match Tony is "handed a note" from the Black Scorpion requesting that Sting be at ringside during some point in the show. Sid picked up the win with a powerbomb.

The STEINERS VS MARK KYLE & JOHNNY B. GOOD

Sting joins in on commentary briefly to ask about the note from the Black Scorpion earlier. During the match the Nasty Boys come down to the ring but the referees force them back to the locker room. Scott Steiner quickly hits Mark Kyle with the Frankensteiner for the pin.

Wrestling Wrap Up with Gordon Solie: We are shown clips of the Master Blaster's debut on Worldwide from a couple of weeks ago. Then we learn the stipulations for the match at the next Clash between either Flair or Anderson vs either Simmons or Reed of Doom (to be decided by a coin toss). If the Horseman win then get a tag title rematch at Starrcade and Teddy Long must be their Chauffeur for a day. In the event of Doom winning then Ric Flair has to give up his 65 ft yacht and his Rolls Royce Limo. Then we see a tacky video of Teddy Long looking aaround the yacht and going into Ric Flair's limosine.

DOOM (w/ Theodore R. Long) vs DAVE DIAMOND & LYNN FIELDS

Simmons hit a neck breaker, then tagged in Reed, who hits a Flying Shoulder Block for the victory.

    Z-MAN VS BARRY HOROWITZ

J.W Storm joined Tony and Dutch on commentary for this match. Z-Man won the match after a Flying Body Press off the top rope. J.W Storm says he was not impressed with the Flying Body Press delivered by Z-Man.

    THE JUICER VS MOONDOG REX

Sting drops by again wanting to know if there was any more news on the Black Scorpion. Juicer removed the metal turnbuckle clip, and as the referee tried to put it back on, Rex used his bone to beat up on The Juicer to get the pin.

We hear The Black Scorpian calling out Sting to the arena. Sting gets in the ring, looks around the arena whilst Scorpian keeps talking about how he likes playing mind games with Sting before hyping their face off at the upcoming Clash XIII. We dont see the Black Scorpian though.

TOMMY RICH & RICKY MORTON vs FABULOUS FREEBIRDS

Not much to report on in this match except Eaton tripped Morton up, allowing Hayes to hit the DDT for the pin.

    Fan Scan : Johnstown P.A.

We learn that next week the feature match is the Steiners vs Moondog Rex & Buddy Landell.

Tony interviews the Nasty Boys who are standing behind a steel mesh fence, symbolizing a cage which the Nasty Boys claim is apparently how they are going to settle their feud with the Steiners.

    Until next week good bless.
