    Report by Chad Brown

I attended RAW in Richmond on Monday night, and it was
a great show. I’ve never been to a bad live show in
Richmond, as Vinnie Mac and company always seem to
dish out the goods when the stop here. And Monday
night was no different. The crowd was hot all night,
from the opening bell to the finally stare down, and
rightfully so. Here are some notes from the show:

    Dark Matches
Navajo Warrior beat Dean (didn’t catch last name)
after a variation of the Juvi driver, in about 5
    minutes. Good dark match.

Joey Matthews & Christian York defeated Pat Cusick &
Pat Brown via a sweet double team DDT. Great match
here, and the crowd really got into it. Matthews and
York were over, simply because of their energy, and
high-risk maneuvers. This team, which originated in
Maryland Championship Wrestling, could really be going
    places.

    Sunday Night Heat Tapings

The pyros go off, and Lita joins the Coach at the
    table for some announcing.

Jackie defeated Molly via Tornado DDT. Pretty decent
women’s match here, except for the one botched spot,
which will most likely be edited out before Heat airs
    Sunday night. A powerbomb-into-a-rollup was
attempted, except Molly lost her balance, and messed
the spot up. However, the two tried it a second time,
    and were successful.

3 Minute Warning defeated Al Snow and Maven with a
samoan drop. Really good match, considering it’s on
    Heat.

Rodney Mack defeated Brad Hunter in about 2 minutes,
with a powerslam variation. I wouldn’t be surprised
if this match was totally edited off Heat. Why?
Because 20 seconds into the match, Mack attempted to
clothesline Hunter over the ropes, only to have the
ring ropes break. The two went on, as if it didn’t
happen, and most likely ended the match early due to
the unheadof-mistake. The fans went nuts when this
happened, and about 20 WWE tecs rushed to the ring, in
order to get the rink fixed up for the live RAW
    telecast. Weird stuff.

Rico defeated Spike with a Roundhouse Kick. Rico is
so hated…tons of heel heat for this guy. Decent
match, nothing special. The fans weren’t really as
concerned about the match as much as they were focused
on telling Rico how they felt about him.

    RAW Notes

** Surprisingly, the Coliseum was about 90% full. I
even spotted people sitting in the 3rd upper deck.
Only a small portion of the 2nd deck was blacked out.
That can’t be terrible news for the WWE.

** The fans were totally into the opening interview,
and it came across really well live

    ** Goldberg was way over

** Rock didn’t get much heel heat, except for his
“West Virginia” comment. Most were just pissed he
    wasn’t at the arena.

** The RVD/Kane tag match was outstanding, and got the
crowd pumped for the rest of the evening. I’m not
sure how this match came across on TV, but live, it
was fantastic; especially for a TV matchup.
