- Offical NWA-TNA PPV Preview for 4/16/03:
TNA continues to rock the wrestling world and this week will continue to shake-up the very foundation of the sport! Several feuds are coming to a head - suffice it to say more than a few sparks will fly...
Matches Wednesday include:
NWA World Tag Team Championship: XXX vs. Jerry Lynn & Amazing Red
XXX thought they were being clever entering themselves in the X Elimination match last week for a shot at the X belt. However, TNA officials threw them for a loop when by forcing them to put up their own belts if they lost. They lost and now they will put up those titles! Tonight, they defend against the team of Jerry Lynn and Amazing Red in what insiders are speculating will be a match-of-the-year candidate!
Grudge Match: The New Church vs. Sandman & New Jack
Strange bedfellows certainly weren't made to get along! The strangest of them all will meet face to face this week when The New Church goes after Sandman and New Jack. Last week, the pride of all hardcore fans was burned by Evil. Now, he's set on avenging his wounds and creating some of his own!
X Title Match: Kid Kash w/Trinity vs. Mike Sanders
S.E.X. makes a bid for the belt they lost back in January as they send Mike Sanders to battle Kid Kash. As of late, Trinity has been a troubling focal point for the champ. It will be interesting to see if they can put aside their personal problems and keep the gold they hold from reaching camp S.E.X.
Street Fight: AJ Styles vs. Glen Gilberti
The battle that took place last week between these two showed a side of Gilberti that wrestling fans had never seen before. After having been found to have his feet on the ropes while pinning Styles, the match was restarted, Gilberti was caught from behind with a roll-up by Styles and then proceeded to beat down the referee! These two have decided they haven't had enough and have both demanded this match!
Also...David Young vs. James Storm
Young appears to be the latest acquisition for S.E.X., after brutally turning on Athena last week. Storm has a grudge with S.E.X., feeling they have been the dividing factor between him and Chris Harris returning to their past success. Perhaps this meeting in the squared circle will reveal where Young stands and how well Storm can carry on without a partner.
Plus: Saturn returns...D'Lo Brown is back...Dusty Rhodes speaks on Jarrett and David Flair's belt...Jeff Jarrett has a surprise for Raven...Mike Tenay sits down with America's Most Wanted...
All this and MORE Wednesday night on iNDEMAND pay-per-view!!!
