Off-Camera Notes From Last Night's WrestleMania XIX

Hello. I was in attendence at Wrestlemania. What a show! This was one of the best Wrestlemania's, ever. 4 matches could have been legit main events, with a couple of matches not far off from it. The major concern of the night came when Brock Lesner attempted his Shooting Star Press. The moment he landed, our section stood up, because we all knew he had to be hurt. After the match, he didn't really celebrate too much. Another walked with him to the back as he was heading out.

I was dissapointed in the crowd reaction most of the night. I sat on the 13th row back and can tell you that the first 8 or so sections killed a lot of the exitement. We were wanting to stand during the whole Hogan-Vince match and the Rock-Austin match, but they kept on sitting down after a few spots. Right before Angle-Lesner, the crowd was beginning to pour out of the doors, moreso than last year dare I say.

The crowd did not come alive till the Jericho-HBK match. As far as the reactions or who the crowd was behind, the crowd was solidly pro-Hogan. In fact, if the "Suit and Tie" crowd in the front would have been up a little more, the same raucus atmosphere from last year could have happened. Second, Austin was cheered a bunch at his entrance, but during the match, "Rocky! Rocky!" chants began, as well as the "Austin sucks!" that got started. Rock got cheered after he won, as well. Hogan, Triple H, and HBK merchandise dominated the sales table. Hogan won out in crowd signs, Austin was close behind.

It was an awesome night for wrestling and one that I'll always remember.
