RAW News & Notes: Goldberg/Rock, Diesel's Return, more
Submitted by Matt Boone on Monday, March 31, 2003 at 5:57 AM EST
As we reported earlier, the current plan still shows Bill Goldberg making his WWE television debut on tonight's RAW. While it would have obviously been a better ratings move to announce that at WrestleMania XIX last night, the mere fact that they chose not to doesn't necessarily mean he won't show up tonight on TNN. In fact, that has been the plan, as widely documented, since he signed a few weeks ago.
Whether or not there is any direct or in-direct interaction between Goldberg and The Rock already, since it's pretty much a lock that Rock is sticking around another month to work with Goldberg at Backlash, is not really known at this point.
Also, there is still plans to make Kevin Nash have his return tonight since last working in July when he fell like a redwood tree after tearing his quadriceps in his return match from a biceps injury. The plan still shows Nash coming back in with his old 90s "Diesel" gimmick from the pages of yester-year. There's also some expected interaction between himself and Shawn Michaels, who told the WWE website team he still has desire to work every other month on pay-per view despite his previous claims of interest in calling it quits once again after WrestleMania XIX.
