Goldberg's RAW Debut, Tito Ortiz/Chuck Liddell, Shamrock

Thanks to MMANews.com reader Matt Cote for the following live notes from WEC 6:

The show opened with Tito Ortiz bringing out the American flag for the National Anthem. Afterwards, he sat cage side for the rest of the night.

After the first 11 fights we went to intermission which lasted around ten minutes. I came back from the "John" (not Hartnett!) and they told us they had a few celebrities in attendance.

First off was "The Iceman" Chuck Liddell. He came into the cage and said the same stuff he's been saying in interviews recently (like the one on WrestleZone Radio with you guys) about how he wants to fight Tito, but Tito keeps backing down.

After about two minutes of that, they introduced Bill Goldberg. Goldberg was sitting cage side as well, across from Tito Ortiz, but no one knew Goldberg was there. The place went ballistic when Goldberg was announced, almost louder than Frank Shamrock's return. Goldberg came in the cage and said he wouldn't miss Frank's comeback for anything in the world. He was asked about Chuck Liddell, and made some neutral comments about how he's a good fighter and a good friend. Goldberg was then asked about Tito Ortiz, who had snuck up behind him in the cage and the two hugged. Goldberg said the same neutral stuff about Tito, being a good fighter and a good friend.

Then, Tito Ortiz took the microphone and gave a speech about not ducking Chuck Liddell. He said he's holding out to fight his "friend" for the money they deserve as fighters. He talked about boxers and pro wrestlers making millions, and said he's holding out until they each make what they deserve for a fight of that magnitude.

Goldberg then grabbed the microphone and told everyone to watch TNN this coming Monday night for his WWE debut on RAW. He never mentioned anything on the microphone about being at WrestleMania XIX this Sunday, but I asked him a few times and he denied it.
