Steve Austin Against Writers, Dudley Injuries, & More

  • Steve Austin recently did an interview with Alex Marvez of TCPalm.com. Austin mentioned a lot of topics, including his ugly departure with WWE last year, his upcoming match with Rock at WrestleMania XIX, and his past with WWE. Austin mentioned he has an ego when talking about being the biggest draw the company has ever had, but did admit that someone will eventually come along and top what he has done. Austin also spoke out confirming rumors of his frustration with the current in-ring style in WWE and the writing team. He said the guys need to slow things down in the ring and tell a story because with writers these days, he feels it's more like an action-adventure show than a wrestling match.

There is an article on WWE.com talking about Bubba Ray Dudley's back injury suffered in the same match Randy Orton and Batista had their injuries. Dudley has a bruised spine, two bruised ribs, and a slight dislocation of one of his ribs. Bubba was told he'd need to rehab for about two or three months and avoid all physicality, but went against doctors words and had run-ins and matches on house shows and TV lately. However, the injury will cause Bubba and D-Von to miss a WrestleMania match for the first time since coming to WWE in 1999.
