Overnight Smackdown Rating, No more pyro for WWE TV?, more

  • Last night's episode of WWE Smackdown! managed to pull in a 3.7 overnight rating with a 5 share. The final rating should be out later today so check back for that. However, the final rating could be affected due to the fact that Smackdown was pre-empted by war coverage in many markets.

  • The WWE might be feeling the sting of the recent fire at the Great White rock concert in Rhode Island. Since this occurance, many of the New England states have been trying to ban indoor use of pyro. Maine have already put such a law into place. This would mean that the WWE would not be able to use their normal pyro for their WWE TV shows like Raw, Heat, and any PPV's taking place in those states, not to mention any pyro use on their house show circuit.

  • It looks like the latest WWE superstar with an autobiography in the works is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The WWE has begun work on Austin's book, looking for a late 2003 release. The WWE has set Jim Ross & Dennis Brant on the project. The WWE hopes that Ross will be able to get some of the more interesting and hopefully controversial stories out of Austin since they are close friends.
