More On Paul Heyman's Demotion From Lead SmackDown Writer

  • According to those who saw him backstage at SmackDown this past Tuesday, Paul Heyman is said to not be showing any visible affects of being demoted from lead writer of SmackDown to contributor to both RAW and SmackDown.

Heyman was said to still be pushing for WWE to bring back Rhyno with a strong role. Despite his requests, it looks as though Rhyno will be returning as the "bodyguard" for Matt Hardy.

Many in WWE feel it was a smart move to demote Heyman from lead SmackDown writer because of the fact that he gets into so many arguments and debates over storylines with Vince McMahon. Many felt it was only a matter of time before the two had the argument that ended Heyman's working relationship with the company.

In addition to that, many were under the impression that McMahon was turning down some of Heyman's storyline proposals lately just for the fact that Heyman was pushing for them so hard.

Now that Heyman is off the writing team, more of his ideas could get through and to both SmackDown and RAW. It will also prevent the constant clashing of egos between Heyman and McMahon.
