The following news is derived and re-written from the Torch Newsletter.

  • Some in WWE are under the impression that they have nothing to worry about regarding the monsterous debut pushes Scott Steiner and Nathan Jones are receiving. The general consensus is the fans saw through the bad workrate of Scott Steiner, which caused WWE to react by cooling off his push by quite a bit. Many are expecting the same will happen with Nathan Jones as he's not exactly the greatest worker in the world either.

  • Road agents Terry Taylor and David Finlay tried switching things up at a recent house show. Instead of doing the traditional mid-card matches from the beginning of the show until the mid point before bringing in the bigger stars, they arranged the line-up so that Scott Steiner would be the first entrance on the show. Many felt it was a good way to start the show off as it got the crowd pumped right at the beginning, which flowed pretty well throughout the rest of the evening.

  • John Cena has been writing the majority of his own raps he uses during SmackDown! television. Cena has a little help from the scriptwriters in WWE, so that his rhymes tie in with points in storylines that WWE wants him to hit. Cena is said to be really into his current gimmick, and has even been spending his own money to buy the outfits we see him wearing every Thursday night. As reported before, Cena will be teaming up with a production company out of Boston to compile a rap-music CD in the near future.
