WrestleZone Radio 2/21: Special Guest - Big Vito!
Submitted by Matt Boone on Friday, February 21, 2003 at 2:12 AM EST

The February 21st edition of WrestleZone Radio with Ryan Clark and John Hartnett is now online.

Ryan and John started things off explaining changes in today's show. Matt Boone won't be on due to exhaustion from a workout earlier in the day, and the interview with Jerry Lynn scheduled for today was moved to this Monday's show. The two plugged upcoming appearances on the show including Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, and a possible UFC 41 roundtable with Bas Rutten, Ryan Bennett, John Hartnett, and Matt Boone.

From there it was time to dig into the top stories in pro wrestling. Ryan and John ran down such stories as Heat moving to TNN one-time only this coming Sunday, John Cena recording a rap CD, Rhyno not joining Evolution on RAW, heat on Test and Stacy Keibler, Sting causing a WWA tour cancellation, WWE RAW rating dropping, NWA-TNA PPV highlights, Buchanon among others backstage at TNA, Edge needing surgery and missing a year of action, Booker T vs. HHH likely for WrestleMania, changes to WWE house shows, heat on new WWE diva Gail Kim, possibility of Tough Enough 4, Torrie Wilson's Playboy, Hulk Hogan's current WWE deal, and the latest on Goldberg to WWE.

After that it was time for part one of the WrestleZone Radio Mailbag. Part one brought about such discussions of topics including who the next break-out star in WWE will be, why RAW changed from RAW is WAR, old gimmicks from WWE's past, how Nathan Jones will be handled, which WWE wrestlers could make it in mixed-martial arts, and why Goldberg's ego continues to grow.

Then it was time to welcome the first three-time guest on WrestleZone Radio and a good friend of the show, Big Vito! Big Vito talked about connecting with fans on a personal level recently, possibility of him joining the Italian "Family" stable on SmackDown, and even freestyled with WrestleZone Radio's own John Hartnett which led to things getting pretty heated between the two.

Despite the tension, Big Vito stayed on the line to help with part two of the WrestleZone Radio Mailbag. Part two brought about such discussions as where "Miss Elizabeth" aka "Liz" has been, a lengthy discussion about the life of Curt Hennig, and what the greatest WrestleMania card of all-time was. This particular debate got Matt Boone to speak up and join the show as the lack of mention to a certain match pushed a button and made him join the debate. Also, there was some talk about if RVD should be on SmackDown as opposed to RAW, why Kane is so talkative all of a sudden, who the next top heel would be on SmackDown, and if 2003 will be the breakout year for Shannon Moore.
