WWE cracks down on superstar's comp tickets, Tod Gordon to get ECW library?

  • The WWE has recently begun to crack down on the number of comp tickets that superstars would request for friends and family to attend the events when they happened to be in the wrestler's hometown.

An example of this was when Rikishi tried to get a large amount of comp tickets for his extended family to attend an event (there is a large Samoan contingent in San Francisco, as well as several family members currently active on the WWE roster such as Rosey & Jamal) but was only allowed to get a certain amount before the WWE cut him off.

  • Bret "The Hitman" Hart will be appearing on TSN's Off the Record on both 2/11 and 2/18. The two half hour shows will be taped on 2/11. Hopefully Bret will update us on his condition, as well as any thoughts about returning to the WWE for one last "goodbye" appearance.

  • In a post earlier today, we mentioned that the WWE was primed to secure a lock on the ECW video tape library once the bankruptcy case for the company has been settled. However, it looks like the WWE might have competition for the video library. Tod Gordon, who was the original sole owner of ECW from 1993 to 1995, might try to claim a piece of the tape library, namely the portions from 93-95. This could seriously impact the desire on the WWE's part for the footage.
